How does it feel to be this unusual? To experience too little or too much? To find your words meaningless because your heart remains silent.
How does it feel to flee from your own self? To be near people, yet distant.
How does it feel to allow the clamor in? To lack a voice of your own.
How does it feel to endure their pain? To not know how to shield yourself.
How does it feel to reveal your true self to others? To appear so bare.
Are you truly yourself or someone you wish to protect?
Or is it just one of those nightmares?
Fears that I own, kids have not shown,
