Am I asexual?

Hello so for a while now I've noticed my desire for sex has slowly decreased a lot over the past years. At first I thought it was because I had changed my gender identity but nothing has changed. I enjoy having sex but I just don't have the need/want/thought to have sex. My partner thinks that I am asexual. It's been an issue in our relationship. Not me being asexual but us not having a sex life. She has a very high sex drive but me I don't have much of one. I'm not entirely sure how to feel or think. I don't want to be like this. I want to be able to have sex with my partner but I don't know what to do or where to turn to..

@StrigasCattus1 You have a very good question there. I know it can be stressful and straining on a relationship when you have different levels of sex drive. Thank you for reaching out to us for support 😊

While I can never know you and your own identity as well as you can yourself, there is a wide variety of sexual orientations in the asexual spectrum. I know that having a label to identify with can be really helpful so please check out the information we have at 7 cups on the asexual spectrum.

If you would like to chat further, we are always available to listen in either 1-1 chats or groups. 😊 please dont hesitate to reach out, were here for you

@StrigasCattus1 Hi! I can identify A LOT. When i was in a relationship i felt the same way. My partner had a huge sex drive while i was neutral/had no sex drive. Although we broke up and it was a really shitty part of my life, she helped me realize i was graysexual and demi. I think you are somewhere on the ace spectrum, and feel free to experiment with different labels until you find one or more that you feel describe you!
