I don't know if im Ace or just traumatized
Hi, ive recently gotten into a relationship (im 18cis female) and conversations sometimes turn in that direction. And sometimes i can flirt along just fine but the second i think about it actually happening i freeze up. I don't know if this is asexuality or if im just touch repulsed due to my past ( which i will not be going into on here)
Hi, ace cis female here. I'm really sorry you had to go through what you went through. A number of people do identify as asexual due to trauma, and this does not in any way invalidate their identity, and the same would apply to you. Whether or not you do identify as ace, please know that your identity is valid.
Seconding ocean - whether you are ace because of trauma or just because, its valid either way. But I totally get that it can be super hard to figure out! Whatever makes you feel comfortable and safe is most important, and best wishes to you
