LGBTQ+ Community Check-In: Week of Aug 7 - 13

As August is “Happiness Happens” month, working to capitalize on the contagiousness of happiness, and dedicated to celebrating things that make you happy, I thought this week’s check in could do just that! Sharing things that make us happy can help grow happiness in general.

So, with the theme of “Happiness Happens” in mind:

• What is one small thing you like to do to spread joy to others? Do you smile at strangers? Hold the door for others? Or what is something small others have done for you that made you happy?

• Thinking over the last week, can you think of something that made you happy?

• Do you struggle with happiness? What is one thing you think you could do to try to have more happiness in the week to come?

Remember it’s more than okay to acknowledge the dark clouds and rain storms of life, there is no need to be happy all the time. However it can be important to find the silver linings and rainbows if possible. Both positive and negative thoughts and feelings matter!
