Advice on Tucking
Hi everyone,ik I'm new here but I'd like to reach out to the community for advice so here I am I guess
Ok...so I've been tucking my.....well private areas for a long time, even before I knew and accepted my trans identity but lately I've been really struggling with it.Earlier in the previous year i had the courage to go out and purchased some panties, theyre very comfortable and they're my favourite items of my wardrobe because they are really the only feminine items I have right now, also they help me with my dysphoria, rspecially with the genitals I currently run.
Now the issue comes with trying to find comfortability when I tuck.Ive had to take frequent trips to the store to purchase panties ad I have struggled to find a size that fits me,rn i prefer hipsters and boyshorts for underwear styles, ill have to go and purchase some more soon as I hate having to go through the day without underwear as my dysphoria reaches a boiling point and I get that awful feeling.
I was wonder however if its a good idea to stay tucjed 24/7 or not,and if not when is it good to be untucked ?
I hope this question wasn't too strange and that you can understand and have a good day/night,stay strong and proud from Felicity 😄
Hi Felicity!
Thanks for sharing this with us 💜 It's fantastic that you had the courage to try something new and gender affirming. It makes sense that you've struggled to figure out how to make it more comfortable, I'm sorry you've had to deal with that :/
A little disclaimer: there’s not a lot of research on the safety and practice of tucking. Most of the information we have comes from personal accounts.
It's generally agreed upon that it's safe to tuck for 8 hours, beyond that point you could increase your risk of complications (such as UTIs).
You mentioned you've doing this for a long time, so I'm sure you know that the key is to go slowly, to listen to your body, and to stop if you feel faint, pain, or nausea.
I hope this helps!
Sending warmth 💜🌿
