Dysphoria??

Ok so I really need help rn. I’ve been questioning my gender for a long time now and there were periods of time where I was pretty sure I was struggling with dysphoria. Now I haven’t really experienced much dysphoria recently and I’m starting to think I was just making it up before and that maybe I’m not trans?? But like I don’t feel like a female or male. I think of defining myself with either and it just doesn’t seem right. But I don’t feel that bad about my chest or feminine appearance? Idk how to explain it but I’m scared I’ve just been faking it even though identifying as female just doesn’t seem the fit. Help 😭

hey, i just want to say that whatever you are feeling right now is perfectly fine. you do not need to label yourself immediately or at all. you're you.

You need some reassurance. You may feel the way you feel but thats not the truth. Its ok to go back on a decision. Maybe you thought you were one thing and you changed your mind ....its ok to do that. We are human

"Reassurance" of what? "Reassurance" that your truth trumps theirs? It's okay to go back on a decision, but it's not because you told them or "reassured" them to. It's because they have grow and have found themselves at a different place and decided to. One core values of 7Cups is to be respectful of others of their personhood. Denying someone from owning their own feelings has no place on 7Cups.

Hi Gh0stly13,

I wanted to echo another answer here that no matter what label you give yourself, you are worthy of love and respect from other people. While I am not that connected to the LGBTQ community, I have heard horror stories of people who felt very rejected when they come out back as cis after a period of being trans. I can only imagine how stressful that can be, which is why I wanted you to reassure you that there are plenty of people who respects and loves you regardless of which decision you pick in the end.

One thing about being trans and coming out and transitioning is about letting you be you. So whether you ended up labeling yourself as trans or not, as non binary, as gender fluid, etc, the important piece of it is to be let you be you. If you no longer feel dysphoric about your existance, that's actually great! So maybe you can try out the non binary label for a while before you decide and see what works for you. It's important for you to give yourself time, and space, so that you can find the best version of you in this one and only one wild and precious life you have! Don't let anybody pressure you; be bright and shine and be you.
