I have no friends and my relationship with my family isn't exactly great, this is why I use social media so much but the terrible stuff people say hurts so much

@holychalupa depending on what type of social media you use, it could be possible to just not follow people who have those mindsets, block people/accounts that post those things, blacklist certain tags, basically catering your usage to avoid the things that are annoying/hurtful to see. If you use a computer, you might also be able to download some sort of browser extension that blocks out certain words (I know generally of them, but don't know any specifically). Social media can be fun but it can also be harmful when you're forced to see opinions that are just bad, but the good news is most types have some sort of control over what you see, and the rest is up to you to know your limits, take breaks when you need to, and do some "palate cleansing" when you're feeling down from something you came across.

@TaranWanderer

Shinigami eyes is a good chrome extension to help with social media in this way. I am not a big fan of social media and rarely use it.

One of the sad things about trans identities are the constant rejection and stigma that your label carries. I used to have connections on transphobic forums on reddit just to know what they are up to and it was very damaging to trans supportive people, because while their try to appear with their words to be fair and not rejecting of trans people, their actions demonstrates that they simply judge you not for what you say, but rather whose camp they think you are in. Unfortunately, it's one of the things that you will have to learn how to not take it all it as much, and try to find other sources of strength for yourself to be secured and grounded despite of what unkind people say to you. It's not easy, but I will encourage you to embark on such journey of healing.
