Hello,

I am not MTF but I am FTM. I had similar issues before I came out as trans and understand the struggle that you are going through. It took me a lot of self-reflection and exploration to figure out that I was trans and not another gender identity. Before I came out as trans, I came out as gender fluid, which gave me the freedom to embrace more of a masculine/male expression and identity. It felt good and was pivotal for me. Questions to ask and reflect on: If you could press a button that would make you a woman, would you press it? Have you been called by she/her pronouns and if you haven't how would that make you feel? Do you feel dysphoric or distress/anxiety when someone views you as masculine or male? How do you feel about certain parts of your body? Remember that not all trans people want to pursue medical transitioning and that you can be comfortable with the body parts you were born with and still be trans.
