Name
I’m a transgender man and I’ve been really struggling with picking out a new name for myself. I like my birth name but it’s clearly feminine so I don’t feel comfortable keeping it and there’s no masculine equivalent. I’ve spent hours scrolling through baby name sites and making lists of names I like but none of them feel like they could be my name.
I was hoping that once I came out to them my parents would be able to help pick out a name or even chose one for me since they obviously chose my birth name, but when I asked them they said that the only boys name they came up with is my brother’s and they struggle to see me as anything other than my birth name so can’t help with picking out a new one.
I’ve thought about asking my friends to pick out a name for me since they’ve been so supportive throughout my whole coming out but that feels like too much pressure to put on a friend.
I just wish I could have a name given to me and I wouldn’t have to worry about any of this.

Hello I'm sure you will come up with a name that you like ,for in the end you liking it is most important.
Maybe try go through a name book and pick some you like and mention them to your parents and see what they think. I wish you all the best.
Picking thw right name isn't always easy because despite it not feeling true to you, you were used to it. I will actually encourage you to try names out with people. I know that some people have tried multiple names over the course of months to arrive at their final name so sometimes it helps just to hear it from other people calling you that name and you starting to really respond to it.
