Being a trans teenager

Hello, I’m an average 13-year-old trans girl. I’ve known about my gender identity since I was around eleven.

I’m not here to talk about family problems, transphobia, bullying, or any social experiences, but rather about how my pain comes from my own body.

I really used to enjoy being alive before hitting puberty. I remember my 10-year-old self like it was yesterday, an age when I didn’t have to struggle with my own body. Gender dysphoria is such a mix of horrible emotions and feelings. You mourn your childhood and the teenage years you could have had, feel an overwhelming sense of jealousy towards cis people who can simply live their lives in bodies that feel like their own, watch your own body change while you can do *** NOTHING, fear what your body is going to turn into and what you’ll look like in the future, and so much other ***.

I just wish I could have a normal life or a supportive family who would allow me to safely access HRT. 😭🥺

@sparklingpinkbunny

I'm sorry for hearing your suffering from puberty and that you are finding it difficult to get support from your family.

We have an active LGBTQ group of good people here that can support you, good luck! And remember you deserve the best, you are a great person no matter what..🌲
