Hey so I think I might like girls, but I don’t really know. How did you guys know fs that you were gay or bi, bc I’m so lost and confused. Plus my family is super conservative so. How did you deal with that?

@greenPenguin9610 questioning can definitely be confusing. First of all, take your time! This is your journey and there is not a single, universal way to go through it. Some people find it helpful to "experiment" with people, but remember that direct experience is not necessary to identify yourself with a certain sexuality: you can simply explore your fantasies, imagine yourself in different sexual / romantic scenarios with people of different gender, and analyze your physical and emotional response to it.
As for your family, it can be harsh to come out if they're very conservative. You might try to mention lgbt+ related themes and see how they respond, maybe to discuss the news you hear, some media with lgbt+ people, or real life situations you know. You can see how they react and if they seem to find lgbt identities "wrong", you may try to reason with them without having to come out first. Also, it's helpful to have someone supportive by your side, for example a close friend, before facing the hardest coming outs. This way, you'll know you won't have to go through it alone.
