Journaling
I've Journaling to work through my emotional damage I currently have. Should I be deleting my past journals? Sometimes I getting tempted to read my old journals and relive my old grief and anguish. Feels like I reopen old hurts at times.
Hey hey @cmc2023 nice to meet you!
I like to journal as well. In what ways do you find journaling helpful to you, if you'd like to share?
I'm more of a pen/paper journall-er (if that's a word lol), and often like to flip through the pages, it's a cathartic experience, I'd say, lots of emotions come up all over, again. I sometimes try to remind myself of how I've overcome an X situation in past, and it fuels my inner resources to face the current/ future situations as well. I guess it also depends on the topic/ event/ day of that entry, some are a No-for me to revisit~ one of those "leave the past in the past so it doesn't meddle too much with the present and future" instances.
So it definitely works for different people differently, and it matters how *you* feel about flipping through your old journals, if you find it benefitting in any way, or if it brings you only pain and anguish and you'd rather avoid it. Your comfort and pace (in embracing your feelings) matters!💛
