🔞Nervous after first s*xual encounter

Hi, I'm male and 27 and I just had my first encounter...well I wouldn't call it a encounter seeing as nothing major happened. Just some foreplay and some stimulation but no climax or so. He divulged that he was free from HIV and we had skin-to-skin contact. I, myself, have not had any encounters in the past. I'm just worried about if what if I get myself or the other person sick. What should I do? I'm very paranoid with stuff like this.

@lnzB

It's natural to be nervous.

But once theres clear communication.

Boundaries are respected.

And you take your time, until you are ready and comfortable and always, no matter what, use protection 🩵🤗

@lnzB it's great to be cautious and careful around this sort of things, but don't let that take the joy of the experience away. Sexual encounters, whatever acts you do or do not perform, should be about enjoying a moment of shared connection and pleasure. It's all that really matters, there's nothing to prove, perform or whatever. As long as you're enjoying the moment and you're making the most of your time with each other, it's a good experience.

As for safety, if there's not been any unprotected sex (including o*al) or direct contact with fluids that can carry STDs, you should be safe. It's ok to worry, but once again, it's not worth letting anxiety ruin the experience. Always carry protection with you and use it when needed, make sure to have conversations about safety with the person you're having this experience with, have regular checkups and it will all be fine.
