Hi I realised I'm trans some time ago and I'm not ready to come out to my parents or anyone close just yet but I don't want to suppress my feelings either so I want some suggestions on like everything i can do in private and how do I continue this journey

@BlushNebula it's ok to not be ready yet, this is a tough step to make, so take all the time you need!

I think sometimes the best thing to do is familiarize with this side of your identity before sharing it. You can maybe start by experimenting with your physical appearance, or presenting yourself as your true gender in online communities, so you get to try out the pronouns and names that feel best to you.

Once you feel ready to tell someone, you can start looking for queer communities in person, not just online. It can definitely make you feel less alone, and the trans community might have tips for you on how to handle this delicate time of your life.
Before coming out to your family, you can also reach out for close, queer-supportive friends first, so you know you won't be alone to handle your family's reaction if you're worried about that.

Best wishes of your new journey! It's tough and it might feel scary at first, but I hope it will eventually make you feel truly happy and free as you show the world who you truly are.

@BlushNebula sure! Maybe you can start trying on "feminine" clothes, or even just accessories if you're worried about getting caught, you can do it alone in your room when you have some time for yourself or even with friends once you find someone supportive.
Or even make-up, nail polish, letting your hair grow a bit... There's lots of things you can try. Of course these do not necessarily define who you are, as the concept of "masculinity" and "femininity" are largely social constructs, but I've found lots of trans people really enjoy and feel good about trying on things that are socially associated with the gender they identify as. These are all small steps, but they can really feel like self care for some people

@Aayla Yes thanks these seem like great ideas honestly... I'll try to grow out my hair till my parents tell me to cut it and like maybe update you about like the makeup or other feminine things If I do them sometime soon
