Coming Out Again

Does anyone else experience having to come out to people over and over bc they just refuse to accept that you're gay? I've had to come out to my parents multiple times. They just keep expecting me to get a boyfriend it's all just so frustrating.

@LazyCat5311, I personally have not gone through this but it is understandable why you'd feel frustrated. I can only imagine how that probably hurts your feeling. No matter what is occurring in your life just know that we are here for you in any way we canheart

Hi~ I have come out to my parents too and they have rejected my message. They tiptoed around it for a while, eventually reverting to disregarding it. But I have not talked to them about it since I first came out to them, and they know they are not liked by me doing what they are doing, but that's their choice of how they want to resolve their love for me as their child, and their contempt they hold against my story. So in short, telling them again, or "coming out" again will not likely help change their behavior. It's difficult but it might just take the right opportunity for you to reconcile this with them - until then, it's likely that your best approach will be to take care of yourself the best you can, and show it to them by action that you will flourish and thrive in life no much less despite that you're gay!~ Big hugs! 💕💪🏻

Same here, my father rejects it. They make fun of gay people, they did that since I was a child. My father always says you will have a boyfriend someday or when are you getting a boyfriend
