Difficulty using the word lesbian??
I know it's not a dirty word but the connotation given by the media is hard to unlearn. It has such beautiful origins, but is so often used to insult women becuz lesbians don't serve a purpose men etc etc. Anyways how do you guys unlearn this? I love being a lesbian and am proud to love women but it sometimes gets me down...

Hi! It's completly normal to feel this way. Remember there are many steps of coming out to yourself and others. Some aspects of it might take time. For now you can say gay, if that makes you feel more comfortable. Or you can say same sex attraction, "my partner" if someone had just asked you a question about your SO. You can just say, I'm attracted to women. It will come in time.
