Hi I’m jill and so I came out to my family probably like few months ago and I was expecting my family to accept me but turns out they didn’t my mother even say ‘don’t ever said that again it make ur father sad’ it just breaks my heart cuz what about my feelings and my sisyer even keep telling me I’m not and if I am I should just keep it don’t say it

Jill, I really felt this. I’m a lesbian too, and I know how much it can hurt when the people you hoped would understand just… don’t. It can feel like you’re being asked to hide a part of yourself, and that’s not fair.

Your feelings are valid, and you deserve to exist openly and honestly, even if it takes time to find the right people who truly see you. Sometimes family comes around, sometimes they need space, but in the meantime, it’s okay to build your own circle of support where you feel safe and accepted.
