A good idea would be to find something you have in common and open the conversation talking about it. Something like "hey, I see you're also into (insert common interest here), can I ask you if you've ever been to... / do you know about... / what do you think of...". You could use something she has posted as a prompt, if she posts something she has created you could compliment her art, for example. But of course a lot depends on the context: it would be easier if you already know or at least have shared some conversation with this girl before texting her. So if you have a chance of starting a conversation in person before starting to text her, that would be of great help!

Hi, I am low key an expert at sliding into the dms, i have done it a lil too often, but it works!, first make sure you guys are mutual followers, if not, see if someone you know is friends with her to tell her to check her requested dms.

Once you have gotten that far, you have 2 choices- the bold, or the slow.

Bold- ask her if she is gay if you dont alrady know, or text her something like "Do you listen to girl in red? because I do too..." There is always the good ole, i like your style... which is a solid move.

Slow- Find something you like in her posts- the further down the bolder you are- and comment on it. "Hey, I just want to let you know I really like this piece of art you did, or this aesthetic picture..." But make sure you add something to the end of that, so it starts a convo, my favourite is what inspired that or what did you do to get it to look like *insert nice term here*, this gets a convo going, so it is a lil less in general.
