@RebelliouslyRoyal

You are not the one being awkward.

She needs to work on that.

All you can do is be you, be friendly, be accepting and give her time to be more comfortable, putting in the work on her end 💚

You thinking she likes you?

Just be nice and honest. Maybe address her behavior with her. Make sure that it is not around people when you address it.

@Remina

we dont actually talk that much but the thing is whenever all the friends are together I catch her staring at me from a distance and when I look her way she immediately breaks eye contact with me and will start talking to someone else.

Hmm, I would speculate that she finds you cute and she gets shy when she is caught staring. Does it bother you that she is like this with you?

hi 🥰
i am not an expert but these are some common things i have read in many books.

That kind of moment can feel confusing — and meaningful — especially when you notice it happening more than once. It might mean a lot of different things, and it’s important not to jump to just one explanation.

Some possibilities :

  • She may feel curious or comfortable around you, even if you don’t talk much.

  • She could be shy or socially cautious, and eye contact feels vulnerable.

  • She might simply be checking in visually when friends are together.

  • Or it could be completely unconscious — people often look toward familiar or calming faces without realizing it

Breaking eye contact quickly and talking to someone else often points more to self-consciousness than anything intentional.🥰

The safest and kindest approach is this:
Don’t overanalyze it, and don’t assume pressure or expectations. If there’s ever a moment that feels natural — a small smile, a casual hello, a shared comment — that’s enough. If not, that’s okay too.

Sometimes connection grows quietly, sometimes it doesn’t — and neither means anything bad about you 🙃

Most of the time, it’s societal pressure. Give her a safe space to talk about it.🥰

HI dear🥰
Most of the time, yes. You may have good intentions when starting a conversation about a certain topic, but your words can still be taken as rude—even though, in your heart, that’s not what you really wanted to say.
so yeah you have to tread carefully!
