How you identify is something you will likely need to determine for yourself but having more understanding of attraction can help.

Are you familiar with the idea of "heteroromantic" - sort of 'romantically straight'? Often times people will have their romantic attraction and sexual attraction match, and when that happens people tend to simply identify as their sexual attraction, for example someone who is a "heteroromantic heterosexual" will often just identify as "heterosexual".

Sometimes however people will find their romantic attraction and sexual attraction diverge, for example someone may be a "homoromantic asexual", or an "aromantic heterosexual", and lots of other combinations.

For some reason romantic attraction seems to be often ignored or treated as lessor, perhaps because it's hard to fully define and quantify, even while it can be clear to feel. But when you find it out of alignment with your sexual attraction it can be extra challenging.

I hope you will find what, if any, labels work for you and you feel comfortable with, just know that labels are only there to describe you, and maybe help you understand yourself, but they don't define who you are or who you need to be. 💖
