Issues as im getting older
I'm a 38-year-old man, married and been with the same woman for 10 years, who I am very much still in love with to this day. The downside? I have Borderline, anxiety, and depression. Those things have manifested into ED (which I take medication for, and I'm on TRT) and binge eating. I don't feel like myself anymore. I know s*x isn't everything, but when you're borderline, your brain tells you that's what love is, and I miss that feeling. It's not that she doesn't want to, but it's that before I was on meds for ED, the times we had tried weren't good and didn't make her feel very good. Just wanted to share that it's so mentally taxing, and I hope there is relief soon.

Hello and welcome to cups 🤗
It's not easy opening up but you are right, men shouldn't bottle things up.
Sex is a beautiful and healthy part of a relationship.
It's ok to want and crave pleasure.
I understand that there are recent difficulties for you , but honesty and exploration could be key to you and your wife keeping the intimacy at the heart of your marriage 🥰

@EulalioPirozzi Can I just say how beautiful and sweet it was to read how you're still very much in love with your wife after all these years. Please keep that same energy and hold onto it. That love for her and another will see you both through the difficult times.
I'm sorry you're struggling right now, physically and mentally... but know there is hope that things can get better. You mentioned that you realize that sex isn't everything. You're exactly right! It may not be but it is a very important part of us. Remind yourself that sex alone does not equal love. If your wife is not finding sex enjoyable, then something is off. Maybe the emotional aspect is lacking. From a woman to a man, maybe try and focus on meeting her emotional needs. Even with sex not taking place currently, emotional and mental intimacy is great. Intimacy is extremely important for couples and when you ca reach her that way and stimulate her in that sense, her body may follow and catch up. I hope that the love between the both of you bloom. I hope you both find ways to nurture the marriage and draw closer to where it's fulfilling to you both! I hope you get support for your mental health and that everything gets better. In the meantime, y'all take care of one another. All the best! ❤️
