Sexual issues probably because of my meds
For reference I'm 19. I've been taking fluoxetine 10mg daily for a few months for my OCD and anxiety now. I've always experienced anorgasmia caused by it, but I haven't got an appointment yet to get alternatives. I've talked to my therapist about it though. A week ago I missed a dose, and after a few days i started experiencing a prominent lack of libido as well as arousal and *** issues. The only time I had experienced erectile dysfunction was when my depression and anxiety were at peak, right before I sought medical help. The doctor told me to increase the dosage to 20mg a day, which did help with the erectile dysfunction a bit but not totally. And my libido is still prominently down. Another thing that has been happening for some reason is I sometimes have high BP, around 140/77 or something like that, but usually it's around 120/80. I exercise almost 7 days every week, I do muscle training and cardio. I haven't had any additional concious stress lately. But I don't know what to do right now and how to deal with this. It is taking a heavy toll on my self esteem although my partner makes me feel very safe and makes me feel like I'm enough, I myself am having negative thoughts regarding it. I appreciate any and all help. Cheerio!

I think it’s definitely a good idea to talk to your doctor about it.
Could Be the medication- they may be able to switch you to something a little more accommodating. There’s the thought that it could be too low and needs to be increased to reduce the physical anxiety symptoms you may be experiencing without knowing.
I hope you are able to find a solution.
Keep the communication open with your partner. I wish you the best.
Ah i see damn. I also had a suspicion that it might be too low, but maybe I can get some alternative ssri which doesn't have as many side effects as this, but that depends on what the doc says. Thanks a lot tho!
I hope so too!!! I know each one acts differently to every body. 💛

How are you doing now? I remember being around your age and dealing with med side effects like that. It can really mess with your head, especially when you’re already anxious and overanalyzing every change in your body. SSRIs are notorious for libido and *** issues, and missing doses or changing dosage can definitely throw things out of balance for a while.
It’s good that you’re already talking to your therapist and that your partner is supportive. That honestly matters more than it feels like right now. The self-esteem hit is real though, and you’re not weak for struggling with it. A lot of us have been there.
While waiting to see your doctor, I found it helpful to just educate myself, so I didn’t spiral. I spent time reading experiences and general info on places like leadingmarketpills.com, not as a replacement for medical advice, but just to understand what’s common, what’s temporary, and what questions to bring to appointments. That alone reduced some anxiety.
You’re doing a lot right—exercise, communication, getting help early. Try to be patient with your body, it often takes time to recalibrate. You’re definitely not broken, even if it feels that way right now.
