How Animals Help Us To Be In The Moment
Have you ever thought to yourself what keeps me in the present moment? The company of animals has been noticed to have a healing effect in many of our lives. Could this be because they do not judge us like fellow humans do. Animals can get annoyed with us if we stroke them the wrong way, but they never judge us for any flaws we may have. Lets say a cat for instance: Would it ever judge you for how much we eat? Credit card debts? Or that we do not call our moms as much as we should? Our animals love us they can embody mindfulness to an individual by being a non-judgemental source of comfort. They are not busy thinking about yesterday or what is happening tomorrow. They are simply there sitting in the present moment.
You may be thinking: Hey Karrot why are you talking about animals being in the present moment? Well pets can help us to practice mindfulness did you know that? Next time you are with your pet I want you to take a few moments to really notice everything about them. When you stroke the, pay close attention to how their fur, feathers, scales etc. feels beneath your hand. Maybe even just imagine that it is the first time you ever felt them and see what a difference it makes to your experience with them. Notice their appearance. Watch how they are breathing, listen to their heartbeat if you are snuggled up with them. Perhaps the most important thing of all, create a sense of gratitude for having them in your life. Let the gratitude fill you from head to toe.

This is beautiful because it is so true. So, if you ever lose faith in humans, just remember, animals will never let you down.
@YourLittleFriend Hello there! So glad you read the thread. I am so so so grateful that animals exist!
This is actually why I love pets! I don't always know the right thing to say, socially, but that isn't a problem with animals. They're pretty easy to read (body language), so I can tell how they're feeling. Being around dogs, even in passing, always makes my day; this is because they are almost always happy to see me, a stranger!
@VirtualVirgo I love pets too! I've felt that bond too to dogs, where I can play with them or just sit and pet them, and all my worries seem to go away! hehe 🐕
Beautifully written!! I can feel the emotions through it :)

Thanks for this awesome thread. And actually ystd I met this really cute goldie 🐶 name Jake, who is my doctor's pet. I visited Dr as I had appointment with him and there I saw the little goldie.
I am a doggo lover but don't have dogs yet. So ystd I was just willing to near the doggo and rub his fur. And finally my appointment I went near the dog, he was just sleeping😃. And I rubbed his fur slowly. Moments latr on I sat on the floor side of it and rubbed his fur and he woke up and was looking at me haha. I had a good time with him and he was just so friendly doggo and he just hugged me as well, his paws were so nice and furry💞.
So I feel that, pets or any animals, they really teaches us to live in the moment and enjoy life and relax as well. but in daily fast life we just forget to relax and enjoy and even forget to care about the small and beautiful thing, but animals teaches us a lot to enjoy life and grow 😃.
@niceDaisy36 Hi there Daisy! This is such a nice story you have of meeting the goldie! I love meeting new dogos and am a true doggo lover too hehe! Dogs are seriously the best. I love how chill my dog is and funny too 🐕

What an amazing post. Thank you for talking about your thoughts and feelings. The post really means alot to me as an animal lover. Sadly I can't cuddle my dog and read this as he passed away few years ago. Cheers to you and your animal friends.
This is such a beautiful post... I'm going to work with animals on a farm on a daily basis from now on. Dropped out of school, so I could get out in nature and be part of that enviourment. Every pet out there is lucky to have you :)
