Daily Check-In for November 17th 2025 to November 19th 2025
Self-esteem is defined as: the confidence you have about your beliefs, abilities, and morals. It also means your emotional states as in, triumph, despair, shame and pride.
Self-compassion is defined as: extending compassion as in inadequecies, failure and general suffering. it is composed of three things, self-kindness, mindfulness and humanity.
Question: Which one do you fall under?
Both of these play important roles in well-being. It builds reward and avoids punishments.
Understanding Self-Esteem:
Self-esteem exists within and prompts motivation to meet the full potential. It is driven by building your worldviews that calms any fears you maybe having. Self-esteem is motivation against the fear of death, soical thermometer aligned together have positivepromotes well-being and mental health problems.
What is Self-Compassion:
This is how we relate to ourselves. We become warm and understanding towars ourselves when we suffer, fail and feel out of place, rather than ignoring our pain and having self-criticism towards ourselves.
Self-compassion are feelings we go through when we suffer or something we go through the "poor me" feelings. Self-compassion is taking a psoitive approach and balancing ourselves out. It is making us feel whole again.
Both Self-esteen and Self-compassion can be either easier or harder depending on the siutation. They both complement each other.
How can you increase either of these:
1. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
2. Support Groups
3. Art Therapy
4. Mindfulness Self-Compassion
You ask your self which is better, the question is "which is better for me".

I think I would say I combine aspects of both areas in my daily life and in the way I treat myself and others 🥰
Thank you for taking the time to post this. It was really helpful. It helped me reflect on whether I am compassionate to myself or not and whether I am self-confident.
I tend to be motivated to achieve goals and I am confident in my abilities.
However, sometimes I might become less compassionate to myself on seeing obstacles and seeing difficult situations. This might stop me from achieving my goals.
What I have learned is that it is important to keep doing what I am doing and to not stop. This will help me develop a growth mindset.
Thank you once again. Have a great day ahead.
