Life can become so busy that the only thought we have is about how to get through the day and forget all about meeting up with friends or even calling them. For some people it is the opposite though, the day seems endless without any ways to connect to others. Both situations can become stressful. Having balance in life is one of the keys for a content life.

I try to do a Sunday Fun day once a month with family or friends, I'm also trying to do better about calling loved ones more often.

I've been taking a lot of time for me and self-care recently, which has felt important. But I'd like to keep doing activities and meet more people. I've had a couple more opportunities recently and hope to have more in the future. It can be hard to meet like-minded people at times. I feel like as a single woman in my 30s who freelances, and works mostly with children, meeting adults with similar interests and experiences can be difficult. It may also be because I've moved around quite a lot even though I am fairly settled where I am at the moment.

Nice that you take the time for yourself and practise self-care! Working with children must be fun but I can imagine that you also would like to be in a group/friend setting where you can discuss things which interest you and hear other opinions. Do you have anything you're particularly passionate about? Maybe joining a class or a group with people who share your passion/interest could be an option?
@amiablePeace77 Thanks AmiablePeace. Working with children can be fun, although also tiring at times, it's normally worth it for the moments of appreciation and connection it can offer. Like at the end of last term, one of my students thanked me for teaching her and gave me a hug, that was a really special moment that I'd like to remember.
I do go to clubs and classes. I do a book club once a month and a Spanish class too, weekly during term time. I enjoy both of these things but haven't formed many friendships per se yet. Although some opportunities have arisen from them, so I'm pursuing them and hopefully they can lead to more connection.
I'm also working to overcome some inner difficulties with trust caused by some previous troubles in connection, but I don't think that these will stop me from forming new bonds and meeting new people, maybe it just takes time. I hope.

You seem to be quite active what is really nice. Bonding with people and establishing relationships takes usually time and effort but I believe it's worth the effort if those are people you can get along well.
