Mindfulness Check-In January 5, 2024
Plants can increase levels of positive energy. Some research shows that people who keep flowers in their home feel happier, less stressed, and more relaxed. Being around plants helps people concentrate better in the home and workplace (provided there is no medical condition like allergies of course).

@amiablePeace77. My favorite plant is the orchid. I even have them tattooed on my forearm. I have four getting ready to bloom. 😃
I used to live a very dark existence, even when I had a partner, there was little light from outside, very closed off.
Being able to have plants, happy plants, helps show me how far I’ve come. ☺️
@amiablePeace77 my favourite plant is the willow tree😁 we have one in the garden here, it's my favourite place to go and sit, and watch the sunrise and birds fly past ❤ it's such a pretty tree ❤
I tried keeping fake pretend plants in my room, but unfortunately they died😞😢 I forgot to pretend to water them 😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂
@Tinywhisper11
Willow trees are so beautiful and provide a cool, shaded spot to relax on a summer afternoon. Nice that you have this place to wind down and maybe sit there to read a book.
@amiablePeace77 ooo no not read. But I do like to sit there and draw or paint.
I've wanted to make a bonsai Japanese Maple for years!
@onwardforevenmore oh they look cool, and you can make a miniature zen garden around it ❤🤔🤔🤔 I might want to do that! Thanks for the idea ❤
I love all plants! I like spider plants and succulents indoors. I also have a little orange tree. I've always liked carnivorous plants too, such as venus fly traps, but they're difficult to keep alive for long. I plant herbs too, such as mint, rosemary and lavender, and vegetable plants such as tomatoes and cucumbers in summer. My favourite flowers to plant in summer are nasturtiums (also very nice to eat in a salad!).
@JadeR222
You're a true gardener! 😀 Thanks for the information about nasturtiums. I never knew they were edible, good to know!
@amiablePeace77 You can eat both the leaves and the flowers. They taste a bit peppery 😊
I love nature mindfulnes!

@rebeccastgo
Me too! 😀 Are you going on mindfulness walks regularly?
@amiablePeace77 Yes! In fact I live in a mountainous area of Puerto Rico, but I also go to the park to walk my dog and there is a small stream there.
@rebeccastgo
Sounds beautiful and the park with the small stream must be great to practise mindfulness! I bet your dog loves the small stream particularly in summer for taking a bath 😀.
So true! 🐶🏞️
@amiablePeace77 Plants are amazing!!! I love them in my house
I have a cute little monstera that I've been growing since it was a child. It brings me a lot of joy. Plants add SO much to someone's life.
Plants add so much life to a room as well. Homes feel so austere without them. They add some personality, and also, if you don't have kids or dogs or anything, can get you used to caring for something else that is living and has needs.
I find that they also help greatly with my mediation and mindfulness. Even just being around other life helps me feel centered and peaceful. I am grateful that they are in my life!
@amiablePeace77 That's so true 💛💛💛
@ChromaticFinss
Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture! Is that you? 😀
Haha seems so
