Mindful brain break to regain focus
Hello everyone, Happy Wednesday
Mindfully taking a brain break
I guess you all remember the times in school or college when we had to sit for a long time and listen and learn - there were times I could not focus anymore. It still happens occasionally these days and thats when I know its time for a brain break to energize the brain and regain focus.
Brain breaks are simple, easy to do exercises that engage the body and brain in activity. They dont need to be long, 1-2 minutes work already. Here is one you can try, if you like.
1. Stand Up.
2. Start by waving your right hand in front of you left to right. Your palm should be facing away from you while keeping your hand with your fingers pointing up.
3. Now stop that hand and have your left hand in front of you waving it up and down.
4. Now practice moving them at the SAME TIME. Do not move your hands going diagonally.
5. Now switch to have your right hand up and down and your left hand left and right. Do this faster and switch often to make it more difficult.
6. Lastly, to increase the difficulty, have your arms crossed while doing this.
If you try, let us know how it felt.
What is your way to regain focus?

That was a very interesting post and it helped as a break. What I usually do is take a walk and look at my surroundings.
