Mindfulness Check-in Oct 20
The upside of mindfulness practice is a lot.
Mindfulness practice can reduce stress, tackle negative emotions and provides a learning experience. It allows you to pay attention in now.
But you know there is one mistake we all make. Intentionally or unintentionally.
It happens.
Mindfulness allows us to process our emotions and ideas as it is without any judgment and accept the way we are in the moment. But we slip from the positive thoughts to negative thoughts and ending up as criticizing oneself or self-judging.
Taking notice of one's weaknesses, negative thoughts, emotions, and processing it is one thing. And self-judging is another. Sometimes we tend to be hard towards own feelings, ideas, and emotions. Eventually, it leads to self-judgment. Even though you not intended to while practicing mindfulness.
Many assume that is practicing mindfulness. But they are making mistake.
You do not need to put your judgmental thoughts on what you witnessing at this moment. Not at all.
Okay, I agree it is easier said than done. Because it happens just like that even if practicing mindfulness. It happens.
Some get trapped often and some get trapped less.
So what can we do to learn and fix our mistake? And the way to fix is forgiving ourselves for whatever happened. Whenever you feel you getting judgmental for yourself, ask yourself, "Would you support someone in the same way?"
Take time for yourself and treat the way you could treat a friend facing a hard time. Be compassionate, not judgmental, listening attentively and taking extra care for yourself.
Life is not perfect. But accepting your flaws is the first step to improve and better yourself.
So, what is one thing or two you forgive yourself and make a peace?
Let's talk about it.

HI Silent welcome back and thanks for this check in
hmmm forgiving sefl- now that is deep topic for a Saturday lol. Well I try very hard to always forgive myself on those inner self things that really no one can see-but me. As when I do this it keeps my heart opened to new possibilities the world or people show me. Then Ill not judge right away, or think black in white. So yes inner personal forgiveness
Welcome back Obs, hope you are feeling better. Man, there are so many things I need to forgive myself for lol. One of them would definitely be on chats that went downhill; what's done is done, and the best I can do is move on and learn from them.
One thing I'll forgive myself for is being selfish. And I forgive myself for it because now I realise that choosing for myself, and making decisions that benefit me, are not things I should be ashamed of. It is a huge step in taking better care of myself and loving myself, and I embrace my ability to do so as a positive trait, instead of something I feel guilty for.
I'm working on forgiving myself for the decisions Ive made in the past.
I'm having some emotional issues today. A couple of weeks ago, I had a meltdown and lashed out at my bf. He was out of town and when he returned, he told he thought about having the neighbor kick me out because how I was acting. He said he didnt tell anyone because he didnt want to embarrass me. But, his best friend came over last weekend and my bf casually mentioned in conversation what I did and there were passive aggressive comments made to me. Ive had a rough go with him. He thinks I'm supposed call all over him all the time, yet for 6 months I've heard all about his ex wife and sex partners he has had. He has made it very clear that he has no interest in my life. He also said that his ex goes to a counselor and maybe he could find out who I can talk too.He told me I needed to keep it under control. I feel like I dont belong in his world and I'm on the outside looking in. My question is.. Am I paranoid for thinking they were passively attacking me or is my trust issues making me feel this way? I have a heard time trusting my own judgement.
