Mindfulness Daily Check IN July 10 2017

Hi everyone
Look again it's Monday!! Yes a start to another new week here. Another week of starting new things or continueing some things. So for today I wanted to touch on a bit of "being uncomfortable" vs running. A phone call I had early this morning with a dear friend of mine inspired me alot to do this.
I know for myself letting myself get into that "uncomfie" spot doesn't really set right with me. My skin is sensitive and I literally want to climb out of my body. I want to run as fast and as far as I can. I am in the fight or flieght mode.
My senses are all hieghtened and what I take in-my brain is all contruted like false believing vs truth/facts.
For real though why would we want to stay in a setting and be uncomfortable? Really doesn't make sense right? But we are human and by nature we want to repress, run away, and our defence mechanisms come into play. So here we are, told or feeling we need to "be in our experiences" but our tendencies is to run away from it. So...what to do?
Start Exactly Where You Are
This is probably the most important aspect of being able to be with our experience. As much as we might like to, we simply cannot bypass our experience and be in an idealized place we think we should be. To work with any internal state, we have to be exactly where we are.
Allow Rather Than Accept
Similar to the previous point, we cannot force our acceptance of something. We can only have a disposition or attitude toward it. If we are feeling something difficult and telling ourselves, I need to accept it, we likely wont be able to do it.
Ask Questions of Your Internal Experience
Sometimes I will feel deep sadness inside and my tendency is to try to make myself feel different. But sometimes, Ill directly ask my sadness what it needs. How can I be with you in the most supportive way? What do you need?
Find Balance Between Challenge and Support
There may be times when your inner experience feels unbearable and observing it directly may be very difficult. At such times, it may not be wise to try to stay with it; finding a source of comfort and support may be the better thing to do. This is true particularly if you have trauma in your history.
Most of all- know you are human. You are worth alot. You are loved. You are not your past. You deserve truth.
YOU ARE YOU!!!!!!
I'd like to hear your thoughts on today's check in

@RumpleSteeleSkin yes it is Monday and mindfulness is helping me deal with the stresses of life.
This is a wonderful post for a Monday! I can so much relate to "allow rather than accept" and "ask questions..." parts! Thanks @RumpleSteeleSkin for this check-in !
