Image result for meditations and withdrawals

Withdrawals from drugs or alcohol or sex or eating alot or other things can be difficult. The reaction of the brain and body to the withdraw process may lead to a wide variety of uncomfortable physical and mental symptoms that can make it challenging for you to remain committed to detox and ongoing treatment. But you can do it-honest

Withdrawal Symptoms You May Go Through:

Headaches

Muscle aches and pains

Sweating

Insomnia and fatigue

Shakiness or tremors

Stomach pain

Nausea

Anxiety

Depression

Even levels of suicide

Many of these symptoms can be managed through common natural remedies or holistic treatments, helping to minimize the need for medications while at the same time making it easier to avoid relapse that can be triggered by the discomfort of withdrawal. Also seeing your doctor and asking whats best for you is a good idea before doing things on your own.

When you practice mindfulness it brings your body some calm and peace. It shows you how to be connected/listen to yourself and be mindful of taking care of you. So what things can you try?

- Exercising the body can surely take away those intense withdrawl symptoms you may have. As you find the intensity that fits you-you will notice some withdrawls lesson and more able to find comfort

- Eating Healthy as your body now needs it more then anything. Your body is craving it's familiar things we put in them. But now its gone. So eating foods like fruits and veggies and plenty of water replenishes your body.

-Develope A Good Sleep Pattern is so important as our body needs rest to get us ready for the next day

-Deep Breathing can help you work through an intense withraw symtom. As you breathe in and out and notice this, you see your heart slow down and your body relax.

I done this check-in on this today-yes late some but it was for a new comer into this area dealing with this. And I'm sure you all have some ideas as well to share with the community on how can we place in mindfulness when we are withdrawing from something. You all are worth it-love on youheart

@RumpleSteeleSkin

Rumple, thank you very much for this post.

When getting out of addiction people struggle tremendously with self-esteem, self-love, self-hatred, forgiving and much more. I did and all the others I knew too. At that time I did not have mindfulness like now, I wish I had. Learning to deal mindfully with the mind and body, having coping skills for the terrible anxious moments, times of depression, learning to forgive yourself - makes it so much easier.

@amiablePeace77 ello good to see you! Thanks for sharing this, also it sounds like you were so strong during your withdrawalsheartGoing through this for whatever someone chooses to stop doing is hard and all those symptoms to. Both physical and mentally. Having some mindfulness skills yes could make some of them alot easier to go through, especially the self worth and guilt and anger towards self. Again thank you for sharing. Hugsheart
