Nature and Mindfulness: Part 1
Hello amazing people ! As we are starting a new week, how was everyone's weekend? Did you find some time to take a break from all the rush of life? Or was it occupied with loads of works? In today's world having a relaxing day is often difficult. However, touch of nature around us can really help to stay calm and relaxed and get rid of stress.
In mindfulness, we train our minds to be present by resting our attention on a sensory anchor such as the breath, sounds, sights, or sensations. Practicing mindfulness outdoors can offer a particularly rich experience and help us more easiliy switch from the busy doing mode of our minds into the being mode of mindfulness. This process of mindful nature connection is known to have a therapeutic effect and can provide a nourishing break from our everyday environments.
Different studies have found that connection to nature provides some strong social and emotional benefits- feelings of awe, vitality, purpose in life, and positive emotions. Nature lovers also show high moment-to-moment awareness and it helps you be in the present moment of your experience.
Nature and Acceptance
Accepting things as they are, that you are here with all of you, irrespective of wrongdoings and worries. No achievement right now, just being here.
Nature and Regulating Emotions
By merely listening and being aware of nature around you. By letting your senses and sensations of nature fill your room of awareness, and you will experience a distance to your emotions, making it possible to let go of them. Nature provides some basic sensations to our mind and body that has always caused calmness and peacefulness. Somehow, it creates some old, primitive yet soothing experiences of rest, being embraced by acceptance.
Nature and Present Moment
It is always here and now. Nature is always fresh. Never past, nor future. Your breath, your senses, anything around you. When you are being aware of the life within you and around you, you are being mindful of this present moment, and it will always calm you down. You can not do nature, you can just be there. Being is calming.

@SunFern
Sun hi thank you for this awesome check-in
This to me is "radical acceptance" It is sometimes very hard to accept things in certain situations. But with skills and practices this all gets better.
@SunFern you have hit on so many good points it is difficult to comment on all of them. Yes being present in this moment and we can appreciate the joy of living. Yes what a beautiful post! Thank you!
