"Mindfulness allows us to interrupt automatic, reflexive fight, flight, or freeze reactions—reactions that can lead to anxiety, fear, foreboding, and worry"

Hello all you loveliessmileyI hope today is going ok for all of you. I thought today I'b brush up with Anxiety. Yes Anxietysurprise Anxiety has an impact on us in so many ways-right.

- Depression

- A sense of doom

- Pannick Attacks

- Sleeplissness

- Fatigue- Worry

- Irrutability

So many things anxiety can affect us. Or minds, body and spirit. But do you know some simple mindfulness skills can re-boot our brain's way of reacting to anxiety? Yes no lie it does! When we practice mindfulness skills it teaches us to focus a lot on our breathing. And when dealing with anxiety our breathing does increase so that it affects many things in our body. So let's just see a few easy mindfulness skills here:

1. An Observing Stance

Mindfulness for anxiety and stress doesnt take away your stressful thoughts and feelings, but it changes your relationship to them. Its as if youre an observer who can look at these feelings without getting consumed by them or pushing them away. Thus, being mindful gives you more mental space and freedom. You dont have to be controlled by your stress response; you can redirect your focus, thereby gaining more control over your behavior when stressed.

2. Focusing on the Present Moment

When you practice mindfulmes for anxiety and stress you focus your attention deliberately and openly on whats happening in the present moment, both within you and around you. You may notice and describe your sensory experience what youre seeing, hearing, feeling, or smelling right at that moment. Or you may focus on your breath to see whats happening inside and to ground yourself. This awareness of the present helps you stop ruminating about the past or worrying about the future.

3. Replacing Fear with Curiosity

Mindfulness for anxiety and stress replaces fear and emotional reactivity with an open, spacious curiosity. Whats that thought or feeling thats arising? What does it look like and feel like? Is this something helpful or important that you want to focus on, or is it just an automatic event that you can observe as it passes through you? How does this emotion or experience change and unfold over time?

Ok community if you feel safe and comfie please do answer those questions ^^smiley Let's see if we can support each other and help one another in dealing with anxiety mindfullyheart

@RumpleSteeleSkin my mindfulness Sunday is a day of rest from routines and learning to listen to what my body needs. Sometimes all the trying gets to be too much. Sometimes I just need to be.

@soulsings

Hey Souls good to see yousmileyI hear you on giving yourself a day of rest. I do miss just having that "one day" just for me. Aside of doing some small things. But I am doing it more and more-just can't wait for my job to find a worker for my client on every Sunday. Good to hear you allow yourself to rest and replenishheart

Whats that thought or feeling thats arising?

Lingering thoughts from when i had a period of second-guessing my values, boundaries, and decisions for the last couple weeks.

What does it look like and feel like?

I feel more positive and hopeful again coming out of the fog. But my body is also very very tired. I've been having migraines every day. I'm a bit distracted with a lot on my list at work and home, but i can tell I'm still affected from being in that hole.

Is this something helpful or important that you want to focus on, or is it just an automatic event that you can observe as it passes through you?

Hmm. Can it be both? I know many of my thoughts were unhelpful and will pass. But i also know i need to give some attention to the core of what i was feeling, since these thoughts come up periodically and especially around the holidays. I'd like for that to stop, if possible.

How does this emotion or experience change and unfold over time?

It definitely has changed over time, especially as I've healed more and have to go back over the events with new eyes.

I'm thinking about journaling on the emotions and what caused them originally, gathering what I've learned, when i have some time soon.
