Mindfulness Daily Check-In December 8, 2017
Ello everyone out there
,

How's everyone doing? I know many of us had a hectic week and I can feel how stressful things were.
Actually, regardless of what age or part of day you're in, there could be anything that just increase the amount of stress in our lives. We feel it on daily basis. Stress, impacts our mind and body adversely. Due to this, we feel like we're not doing well. We will feel overwhelmed with so many things in a plate.
Yes! I can feel you. So, what could we do to counter the stress?
Probably, taking a small break and doing something that you like. It might not be evident but taking small breaks and doing something that interests you actually helps to restore your focus, energy and boost your performance as well.
The reason behind this is that when you are stressed, your thoughts are actually messed. Your actions not bring the expected fruits and you find things more stressful. All seems too overwhelming to handle. You feel like that you are not capable to do it. In that minute you are not in a best state to put your best efforts.
When you take a small break, and doing something you like actually makes you feel happy, restore your confidence and trust in your own abilities.Your mind gets relaxed. OR I say, gets time to breathe. And when you resume things after break, it allows you to do much better.
So, how was that? Take a minute and sit back when you are stressed and do what you enjoy. It could be going out for a walk, or have a coffee with your friend, family or a loved one? It could be putting your reading glasses on
and read a page of your favorite book or just trimming the unwated hairs of your plants.
It could be anything.
So, please share what caused you feel stressed recently? And what are the things that you enjoy?
Share some thoughts you have OR something you do... ❤

I enjoy lately music. I am stressed over life and it meaning... I am worried do I prusher myself too much.
@conscientiousPineapple1782
Hey Pine, Good,to see you in checkin today. I can feel your stress over life and its meaning. It seems complex to most of us. Possibly we could just take one thing at a time to keep things look bit simpler to us.
I am glad you enjoy music and a good,way to relax for sure.
Hope you have,a stressed free weekend. 🍦
What's been stressing me is that school has dumped about 20 assignments at the same time and they are due at the same time as well, and they are pretty difficult assignments over content that I still don't understand fully. Not to mention my parents stressingn the fact that it makes up most of my GPA.
What I enjoy is reading books, talking to friends, playing games, watching YouTube videos and television. I try to take five minutes breaks in between work time to get my mind off of the assignments, which I use to watch short videos or read
@Wawas
Hey Wawa, Glad to see you in checkin today. 🙋
I can relate to your situation and how,stressful it is. You could probably take bit of help of your mates? Hopefully they could help you in this .
I liked what you do to relax. 5minutes break sounds,good to focus and spend time with yourself.
Keep going. Best wishes. Hugs..
@ASilentObserver
Hi Silent thank you for this GREEEEEEET check-in
Wow for me personally this hits home. Overwhelmness comes to quick for me and all the things I do in life and then here. I noticed this week tht the stress/overwhelmness was so high- I actually got bored in EVERYTHING I was doing
Yes the truth.....................
So I have slowed a bit not to much as I can't. And either got fresh coffee, played with my zoo, or just refocused on a game online for a bit. This does help and thank you so much for another reminder to help us maintain being mindful

@RumpleSteeleSkin
Can feel your stress Rumple. You dealing lot of things. I know things could go hard at times but I know you will manage them effectively. And glad to hear you doing something to relax a bit. Hugs 💞
@ASilentObserver
Thanks Silent alot
I am a busy person weather gone from home due to work or other responsibilities I have. But 1 good thing looking at being busy is I came a long way. I mean being bed bound due to depression and now. So, a reminder to everyone being overwhelmed/stressed isn't totally a bad thing-honest. Most of the time it gets us moving on improving things in our daily lives
Stressing over looking for another job, finances, not being to buy anyone any presents this year, and that my one counselor actually told me to email her when I get stressed; then when I see her recently she says it gives her headaches reading them, so I am going to stop seeing her after the first of the year. I have another counselor I see, too, so I will see him until I can find someone who doesnt seem to want to jerk me around.
Maybe it it is a sign that I needed to believe in myself anyway. Neither counselor works on mindfulness techniques with me, so it is mostly a waste of their time to see me. Counselor just verified what I thought about diagnoses. I was diagnosed with PTSD for years; then one counselor claimed it was something else, and the past couple years it is just mild depression and anxiety. Makes me want to scream that counseling centers would steer someone in the wrong direction. Know it isnt always that way, but my insurance pays these counselors, so it gets aggravating to be rattled like that.
I've been stressed about school a lot lately. I just can't enjoy classes anymore, because I'm constantly worrying about other assignments and writing papers and passing tests. Recently I've come to hate my weekends, because all I'll do is sit behind my desk and work. At least in school I have my friends around.
Anyway, enough with the moaning for now. There are tons of things I like to do. Recently I like messing around drawing a bit and being creative in my bullet journal. I like hanging out with my friends too or watching my favourite TV show of all time and talking about it to others #SPNFamily. I like going out shopping with my mom, just the two of us being able to talk. And I love music and singing along. Good thing the Top 2000 will be back on the radio soon. And Christmas decorating. I'm really gonna enjoy myself doing that tomorrow
@JayTheBird14
Yeah I can feel you Bird. I was there and experienced it. Even now, due to work and project things I always have high stress level. But glad to see you have own ways to take and enjoy break. A good way to deal with your stress and focus on completion of things with more enthusiasm and better clarity. Appreciate your efforts. <3
This week was pretty good actually. A few mild stressors, but nothing that was upsetting at all. I had to drive a couple of times in heavy traffic; however, everyone was driving politely and correctly, so things flowed smoothly. I had a few minor problems to solve, but that wasn't so big. Had to keep my elderly mom calm and destressed, but that wasn't really bad, either. Maybe it's because I've been doing plenty of relaxing activities (listening to music, reading, crafty stuff, watching movies) that has made things feel less stressful.
Wishing everyone a restful weekend full of less stress.
@ASilentObserver
This is lovely, thank you for this post!
Lots of things are hanging over my head right now, and this week was one of those weeks where nothing goes as planned. This created a lot of stress for me.
To cope with this, I am going to treat myself to some hot cocoa (hopefully we'll get some snow today!!) and I might go skiing tomorrow, which would make me really happy.
@PassionatePeyton
Glad to see you in Checkin Peyton <3
Awesome thing is that you will have some hot cocoa and skiing. Nice ideas for a break from usual work and all.
However I can feel how it feels when things go not as per plans. It creates a huge mess and just overwhelm us a lot to get stressed. So it is better to take a break, breathe and break the stress momentum. <3
oh wow, I gave three B's concept.
Break, Breathe Break. xD.
Ive been stressed due to adult children and holidays. Counselor says my kids are mistreating me, but is it them or am I the loser here?
@selfdisciplinedRaspberries3170
HI Self thank you for sharing this here with us
I am really sorry on how your children make you feel, as well as how you feel like a loser. But....I can say that you are not a loser due to however someone else acts/feels. Please find a way to bring the holidays to you. Ask yourself what you want to do. What do you want to eat. Things like that. I have teens now, and sometimes they do get me going in ways I feel so bad. I have to let them go and the negativity there. It's not easy, but once you practice this a few times you will see the relief in it.
