Mindfulness Daily Check In February 17, 2019

Hello peepsRise and shine on a beautiful Sunday moring or night. I have an inner energy today-wondering what am I going to do with it. I thought today I'd focus us on some mindful thoughts of Spring coming. Can you all feel the anticipation inside you seeing the first flower pop through the snow?

Seasonal changes can encourage mindfulness. As the weather changes so does our perspective. Springtime in particular is a wonderful time to become more aware of the growth and life that surrounds us. Where I live some of the new green grass is spouting in many places. Soon tulips will sprout out and grow tall. Even tho the snow threatens to give them frost bite. Also I notice the sun is coming out stronger at times.

As you walk outside today emerge from the visual stupor of winter and take in the signs of the spring. Pay particular attention to the trees and bushes around you. Is this the same tree or bush that you've seen all winter long, or is there something different about it? A close look of the sidewalk might reveal some tender blades of grass. Or, as you pass underneath a tree, you too might see the buds of leaves and flowers yet to come.
