Mindfulness Daily Check In July 9th 2017
Good morning everyone 
What a wonderful beautiful cool morning it is. I stepped outside and noticed I was early enough to see the sun just come up. I felt the light breeze on my skin, noticed how cool it was. Smelled fresh rain as well. Heard all the birds talking and singing. My feet felt cool on the pavement. Wow......just giving a huge stretch feels good.
So how did you feel this morning? What did you notice about things around you? What did you see? Hear? Smell? Touch?

What a wonderful check-in you are providing here. Mindfulness is so important and as an LPC/NCC, I find it one of the most effective tools I have for patients to use. Many people find it so empowering they make progress in areas of their lives they never thought possible. It's not really about learning to "zen out" and just be blissful, it's about learning to witness your 70,000 daily thoughts and endless river of emotions from a more stable and steady place through emotional awareness and paying attention. So good job contributing to that! :-)

what a gorgeous setting, wow, just right for meditation, very beautifull.
This morning when i woke up i felt like a young child on holiday, a feeling of happyness and lightness, I cannot describe (mayebe because I declared this day a self-care day). I noticed the beautifull plants around me, after some days of rain they are in full blossom, just pretty. i saw the young yellow breast bird making sure nobody is following him into his nest. I smelled the coconut oil and sea salt which I use for body rub and I touched the big leaves of my diffenbachia plant, so smooth.

Sunday morning I woke up to the feeling of my clean soft smooth brightly colored bedsheet.. watching my spouse who always looks cuter when asleep, listening to the silence.. and enjoying the knowledge that it's Sunday, no need to leave the bed in a hurry 😉

Morning All. This morning the dog let me sleep in (7:30 vs 5 a.m.), woohoo. That's the good news. 👍. The weather is rainy but I love the smell of a summer rain!
I'm in the habit of doing a body scan before I get up so I can record my pain scale. Today was no different, just had more pain today. On the other hand, I'm on vacation and see the doctor today, so it's all good!!
@yzzil Hi, probably your dog let you sleep in due to the rainy weather! But whatever the reason, getting to sleep in on a Sunday, is a real achievement, right? 😀 And "more pain"? Aww, sounds a little scary, I hope you'll be alright!!! Body scan is a really good habit, glad you do it regularly! Take care of yourself 🙂

Hi there yzzil nice to see you here in check in Wonderful that the dog decided to be nice to you and let you sleep in some. Please can your dog talk yo my dogs? Also it is soooooo nice to here the rain so early and lay in bed and be so mindful and relaxed. Its great to hear that you have a habit of checking in with how your body is doing. Im sorry about you pain tho Hope the doctors visit went well!
