Mindfulness Daily Check-In October 18, 2017

October 18th, 2017

Hello there, Mindfulness Community. How are you all doing? It is already October, and for some of you, you may heard the howling of the winds more or the barks of dogs. I was wondering, what sounds help you to be mindful, and what sounds does not help you at all? For me, the sounds of bits of tap water dripping down does not help me at all while the sounds of wind is a form of mindfulness for me. Please leave your thoughts below.

@wonderfulPumpkin71

Hiya wonderful Pumkie-thank you for this check-insmiley For me I love the sounds of rain hitting something metal, or sounds of water from a fish tank. So love water sounds. What doesn't help me is repeated sounds over and over like tapping or somethingsurprise

Hey, Pumpkin smiley Thank you for your check-in.

Sounds that make me mindful are most sounds, but I particular like the sound of the outdoors: birds, wind, trees rustling.

Sounds that make me less mindful are clocks ticking, sound of chewing with mouths open, and pen clicking.

Hey Pumpkin! I think for me I like the sounds of nature, in particular the crunching of leaves and the rustling of wind through the trees.

A sound that does not help me could be the ticking of a clock: it can be annoying when you are trying to concentrate or focus on something.

Thank you for this check-in! :D <3

Heya pumpkin! Thanks for this check-in For me, repeated chords on instruments, like guitars or piano, help me be mindful. People talking or disorganized sounds, like papers rustling, don't help me be mindful

@wonderfulPumpkin71 I find the sound of streams or ocean waves comforting. There are many sounds I like.

Hi! The wind helps me be mindful, it calms me down. And I love it when it's windy.

I agree with all of you who said ticking clocks didn't help. They're really annoying to me.
