I think the movie that impacted me the most was Walk Ride Rodeo. Its about a young barrel racer that becomes wheelchair bound after a accident. She figures out a way to still be able to ride using her hands and voice. Which if you know anything about riding all your communication is usually threw your legs. She never got to walk but the last two she got. It impacted me to be thankful for what I have and to never give up. I could lose my legs too and not be able to ride, which would kill me inside but there is always another way.

I watched the trailer, this is an inspiring story! "We don't got to choose always what happens to us but we got to choose what we do next".

@amiablePeace77 It wasn't a movie I watched but it is a limited series on Netflix called, Our Planet. It changed my whole view on our wild life and how natural habitats really do need to be preserved for the benefit of everyone. If we don't protect them now, the furture doesn't seem very bright . Great series!

I fully agree, we have to protect nature - not only because everything is connected and whatever happens on one side of the planet will have an effect on other sides too but also we are here on this planet as guests for a limited time and have the responsibility to take care of what is offered to us so that future generations can benefit from it too.

Ello there Peace thanks for this check in! Well I'm gonna share with a twist. Right now Im finishing watching Shameless on Netflix. I believe it impacts me today as this used to be some what my life. All kaotic, figuring our caring for family and new jobs here and there and so one. I share it impacts my life now as I figure things out. I just do. But more so now a days more mindful in all my actions as I have a family to care for and its mine. idk if people can connect like I am now. But I came a long way from the ghetto-lower life- trying so hard to make ends meet life. To now comfortable no more fighting day to day. It has made me a better giving caring person and Id not forget where I used to beheart

@RumpleSteeleSkin

Rumple, you can be very proud of yourself for what you have achieved. Hard times can make us very caring people, they surely did it in your case although I would have wished though life would have been easier for you.

It's a good reminder to think back to the point where we started and see where we are now. Sometimes I do that too and realize how much I learned about life due to those times.

@amiablePeace77 It's been a bit of a rough day for me, but thought I would still check in. smiley I plan on doing more self-care today than normal to help myself hehe.

I did watch a movie/documentary recently, but the topic is pretty depressing so not sure if I should delve into that, despite the documentary being really poignant and touching me in multiple ways. I am reading a book though called Codependent No More, which helps me realize that I've been codependent with my dad, and to work on making sure I'm not that way going forward with him or in other relationships. It's given me hope that I'm not crazy or some lost soul, that there is hope for me, as there are many others out there who have been codependent in a relationship too.

@fearlessWriter78

Sorry that you had a rough day, how are you doing today?

I am glad you stepped out of the prison of codependancy, it's so easy to get into to it, it slowly happens without that we even realize it sometimes and all over sudden we are in a situation which is making our lives "hell". It takes a lot of courage to make the first step out but learning to understand we cannot change anyone but ourselves and enough self-care help.

@amiablePeace77 Thank you for your kind message. I don't really think of myself as courageous, as cutting contact from my dad recently is one of the hardest things I've ever done. I still don't know if I'm making the right decision but a therapist should be able to help me along, just have to find one hopefully Monday. Today was another bad day for me unfortunately but I am feeling better after a nap. I'm struggling with quite a lot of major things on my plate, but it'll get better with some steps I can take Monday.

@fearlessWriter78

I hope you found a therapist yesterday. We cannot always go through challenges alone, at some point it is better to get help, glad you're doing this to help you with major things.

It is hard to disconnect from someone close to us, particularly if it's a parent. There might be feelings of guilt but your health counts too and comes first. I am sure the therapist will be able to help.

Wish you much better days to come HUGS .

@amiablePeace77 The last book that had a huge impact on me was Modern Essentials. It is a book that contains unlimited information about essential oils. I love learning about oils and teaching others how to use them in their day to day life. They are very helpful in combating depression and anxiety and this book really changed my life! I know so much more now!
