Mindfulness Daily Checkin May 26
Hello Awesome Community,
One in every five persons suffering from mental illness. However, the researches and studies show that increased support, awareness and accessibility to proper care and support are the key for better mental health and overcoming mental illness. It is effective when they work combined.
So, Welcome to Social Saturday Edition of Mental Health Awareness Month. Today, I'm not going to give you a long post to read and say what are your thoughts.
Today, we will do something different.
And, how? Let's see.
*Passes Coffee and Cookies* to everyone.*
Here're my three questions that we will be using for today.
While growing up, what was your understanding of mental health?
What made you decide to speak up publicly about your mental health?
How do you see yourself today?
Now, I'll be tagging three valuable member of our community and they will share their thoughts and will tag three other valuable members to the community. Also, anyone and everyone welcome to share their thoughts too.
Let's talk about it.

@ASilentObserver Hi Obs!
How are you? I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!
While growing up, what was your understanding of mental health? Growing up, I had a very limited understand of mental health, particularly when I was young. I use to think it simply meant that you were crazy, which I am sad and ashamed to admit. However, I began to learn and understand it more once entering middle school thankfully.
What made you decide to speak up publicly about your mental health? I decided to speak up publicly about my mental health after losing my dad to cancer when I was only 14.
How do you see yourself today? I see myself to be more informed and knowledgeable in regards to mental health compared to the past, but I continue learn more each and every day, which is so important!
