Social Stories (Mindfulness Exercise)

You can create worlds others need not understand. Real, imaginative, unusual, and spiritual.
Can you create a story with a beginning, middle and end? Can you let your mind unravel naturally? There is no right or wrong direction to go. Just let your thoughts flow. Write in a peaceful setting. No distractions. Use the lines “Once upon a time…” to begin your sentence transferring what’s on your mind to paper.
After doing the task as yourself: What meanings can I take from this story? Do I personally connect with it? Are there any interesting words that speak to me? What were the emotions I was experiencing? What were the physiological sensations I was experiencing? Was I transported to a different place? Would this be a story I would share with others?
