The whole community to hold me accountable
I've been preparing for a test for a very long time on and off (Don't wanna specify what and how long for some reasons). I am failing miserably. The test is very important and hence the feeling of overwhelm is so big that my system is trying to protect me from doing it in the form of procrastination.
I just wanna post here on a daily basis to say how much progress I've made. Sometimes I wish I just make some progress regardless of how much it is because there were a lot of days when I didn't even start.
Today I focused on a medium difficulty practice test on a certain topic of 15 questions (Got 13 right and 2 wrong). Took 1:45 seconds on average.
Need to review this test and an older one (No use in going forward without reviewing and logging my mistakes) take 2 more medium difficulty tests and 3 more hard difficulty tests and review them.
Planning to review the last 2 and complete at least the remaining 2 medium difficulty tests by end of tomorrow.

"The test is very important and hence the feeling of overwhelm is so big that my system is trying to protect me from doing it in the form of procrastination." ~ Kudos to you for being so self-aware and honest. Now that you know and are accepting of how you feel and what your "whys" are in terms of the obstacles, I have a lot of faith that you'll be able to overcome them, all that matters is putting your best foot forward. 💛
You got this. And yes of course, if it helps you in strengthening some accountability, the reviewing process sounds great, feel free to update this thread with your progress. Rooting for you!💛
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Thank you so much. Means a lot!
I managed to finish my goals - Reviewing earlier 2 medium difficulty tests, taking 2 new medium difficulty tests and reviewing them - Got 1 wrong in the first test and two wrong in the second one. Took between 1:45 and 1:56 minutes on average.
I did tapping therapy before each test https://youtu.be/02bN4JFx10Y?si=GngjIkZ5RGnoL_e9
and took a deep breath before attempting each question though it kind of adds to the downside of time management.
For tomorrow, on the same topic, I wanna take at least 2 hard difficulty tests and review them thoroughly.
Thank you for all the support @Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I managed to finish the goal I set for the day:
Take 2 hard difficulty tests and review them - Got 2 wrong in both tests. Did tapping therapy this time also before each test and took a deep breath before each question. Took 2:31 minutes on average for first test and 2:15 on average for second test.
Reviewed all questions and logged my mistakes.
I am quite proud of myself for this.
Tomorrow, since I have an important office task that may take the whole day, I have planned no personal goal for me. But if possible take one hard difficult test on the same topic and review it.
With this, I wanna go sleep now.

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Thank you soooooooooo much.
I finished my office work as planned. I kept one personal goal as optional. I didn't want to go to sleep without finishing to lessen the burden for the next day. So I managed to finish the hard difficulty test and reviewed it too. I got 11/12. I took 2:30 seconds on average.
I am thinking of practicing a type of questions I hardly did tomorrow. I am planning to do at least 10 of those but as thoroughly as possible.
Though it's way too late for me to wind up the day, I feel quite proud of myself.
Idk how long I am going to do this. But posting it publicly somehow motivates me so much. I will have to do this for probably a long time in order to master the test preparation and take it. Hope 7cups lets me create a loooooooooooooooooooong thread, lol.
Thank you again @Sunisshiningandsoareyou for staying super supportive.
@oliveTown8563
Aw yay you for putting in your best effort and trying to manage as much you're able to. So happy to see you take a moment to let yourself know you're proud of you~ I think it's super important to continually fuel our inner resources to keep pushing forward.
I hope you're getting enough rest too, while the hustle makes sense where it's required, also gotta treat ourselves with kindness and try to fill the "hey hooman here, need some rest and nutrition"~ cup lol.
Ooh and yes, looooooong threads are up and running around here, so keep going. You soooo got this.
And of course, happy to cheer for you and support you from across the screen, as much possible!🌞
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Thank you so much for taking time to reply to my post.
Today was bit of a messy day, ngl, though I managed to clean my wardrobe, room and do bare minimum cooking that I am learning. I also had to do bit of office work which felt like a lot of work though it's just sending emails and reaching out to people.
Then I got into a conflict with someone which affected me badly to a good extent.
I couldn't do even start with the goals I set for myself. But instead, since I wanted to do something related to the test on a consistent basis, I changed my goal and took an easy test on some other topic and I got all right with an average of 1:45 seconds and I managed to review it too.
Thank u so much for the encouragement. This helps a lot. Please take good care of yourself too while you're looking after people on this website.
It's late like usual. But I am signing off now a bit peacefully!
Good job, mate! Keep going!
I could wake up only at noon. Had some office work, calls and work chats. Had a bit of disappointment and conflict. But I managed to take 2 easy tests today on the same topic. Got 2 wrong in the first one and all right in the second one. On average took 1:45 for the first test and 1:30 for the second one.
Quite proud of myself. Now have a bit of personal work before I go to sleep though it's too late.
Yesterday before going to sleep, took another easy test and got all right with an average of 1:30 secs.
That left me with 2 easy tests for today which I was able to complete with all right in the first one (1:15 sec average) and 1 wrong in the next one (1 min average).
I am quite proud of myself and I really wanna go to sleep now. Hope I do.
Thanks cups!
