Exercise motivation & small wins 💪🌱

Staying active can be really hard, especially when motivation comes and goes. I’ve been trying to focus less on “perfect routines” and more on small, realistic steps—like short walks, stretching, or quick home workouts.

If you feel like sharing:

What kind of movement do you enjoy (or want to enjoy)?

What helps you stay motivated on low-energy days?

Any small fitness win you’re proud of lately?

No pressure—every step counts, even the small ones 😊

I love this post, what a great thread to start! 💜

What kind of movement do you enjoy (or want to enjoy)?

I love swimming (outside, all year round) and when it's cold I'm not in that long, but the walk to and from the pond gets me moving and helps me clear my head. I'm also getting back into running after some time away, and that's been really good too.

What helps you stay motivated on low-energy days?

Knowing how much better I'll feel afterwards! And treating myself to a coffee or something after my swim.

Any small fitness win you’re proud of lately?

I ran 20 minutes without stopping yesterday (I have previously run for much longer, but trying to take things slow and build my fitness back up without getting injured).

@Lyra. Swimming outdoors sounds so refreshing 💜 And 20 minutes of running is a great win—especially rebuilding gently. Thanks for sharing!

I primarily go to the gym and lift heavy 3 days a week and walk/run with my dog in between.  I also like jump roping and I've recently been trying to get into stretching and yoga
