How do you keep yourself on the right track?
I keep trying to remind myself that I can't control anyone else's behaviours and actions but my own. But still I find myself falling into that downward spiral of feeling resentful and bitterness towards those I feel could be more helpful and useful in difficult family circumstances.
How do you keep yourself from feeling this way? I need a new perspective and mindset for this situation.

I'm sorry you are struggling!
It can be hard when you just need support from your family and they are not stepping up .
You support them but yet no one turns up for you.
I understand this completely.
I live it .
It's hard but I've learnt to not be resentful.
To not give mote than my energy and resources allow, to set firm and consistent boundaries and to realize they might be family, but doesn't mean we think the same ππ
I wish you all the best and I genuinely hope you stop being taken for granted!
Thank you for your reply and advice. I'm so sorry you're experiencing this too, but Im glad to hear that things are more positive for you now. It's really helpful to hear that the negative emotions attached to this feeling can be worked through, and a nice reminder that we are more in control of ourselves that how we may feel π
Thanks again π and all the best to you too π
