Traffic acronym + The Careful Review Model

🟢🔶Traffic (Time, Reflect, Analysis, Flavour, Fluid, Ink, Call ) acronym for a model I name🟢🔶:

This is a model I created during my reflective time of the day. The themes I am interested in are accountability and motivation.

🔴The red stop on a traffic light means you have TIME to REFLECT

Example - Is Maggie allergic to eggs? Let’s phone her GP first to check.

🟠 ANALYSIS and FLAVOUR says let’s hear the word choice they use and how they are delivering their message. It is reflected on the amber light

- Example - Maggie allergy test says she is not allergic to anything. It’s proven postive! There are no rashes or extreme reactions. He says in a confident tone.

🟢FLUID,INK, CALL is represented in the green light.

fluid - Fluid means the instructions were clear.

Example: I’ve asked Maggie and she has said she once tried an omelette when she was younger and got a skin rash.

🟢Ink means there is written and verbal proof (e.g. email, third party, one on one conversation, text, signature for consent)

Ink- example - I’ll now write this down on her patient record as a nurse on her allergies sheet.

🟢 Call- This means I’ve putting in the actionable steps making sure all important parties of the respective person know the sensitive information. You may be following for example Mental Health Act (This means the individual with lived experience of a disability who has a carer can make decisions on individuals behalf if their disability impacts decision making skills)

I will phone her carers and loved ones and communicate all that has happened today.
