2025 Week #14 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 03/24/25 - Sunday 04/06/25)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

Still working on the presentation. Trying to get the slide transitions to work with the narration.
Need to finish the 7th lab and start on the 6th presentation.
A new month is starting so I will have the work assignments to do. I also need to do the two random ones that were given to me and I will have to do the required training when I get the link for it.
@Enthenia
No rest for the weary.
OR
No rest for the initiated..... That's You! 😁 + probably weary too. 😅. you got it!
@IsayUncle I was tired this morning. Didn't get to do as many pre-work things as I normally do because my system was overloaded and I kept falling asleep. I wish I knew why it happens but all I get told is eat less and exercise more.
I got the 3rd assignment submitted and now doing some work stuff that's due this week.
Finished the 7th lab and that assignment wants two policies. Got the work task that's due soon done. Just need to upload it. Have to be on the VPN for that so I can do it in the morning.
Was going to go to the store but we're in a wind advisory again and I didn't want to try to cross the street with groceries in strong gusts of wind. I can go tomorrow if the weather has improved.
@Enthenia
Anxiety can exhaust and deplete you without you knowing it.
Anxiety does not have to be some big obvious nervous condition. it can just be a constant grinding of gears in the brain that exhausts the body and mind.... kind of behind the scenes., thus making us brain dead and exhausted for no apparent reason.
Could that be happening to you?
@IsayUncle it might be part of it. I think most of it is diet. I know the obvious answer is find a dietician but I most likely, can't afford it even with insurance and/or the office would be somewhere that's difficult to reach by bus. I'm trying to do things that are minimally processed, anti-inflammatory, keto, etc. but I can only get to the healthier store every once in a while. This is where knowing someone would help but I don't.
However, I got the task at work done and I've copied the lab data for the 7th lab into the template I have to use for this course. Not sure if I want to start writing a Business Continuity Plan today or not...
@Enthenia
All righty then! GOOD JOB ON LAB #7! 👍 😃

Many years ago I invested in a cold pressed juicer and it was amazing how good it made me feel. I did the whole green juice thing, detox, I was on mostly a juice diet for about a year and I felt so freaking good.
Took a lot of work and a lot of time and I finally got back into the convenience of convenient eating. Staying away from all processed foods is extremely healthy. I try to follow that rule but I often fall victim to convenience and cravings. And to be honest, I feel like ka-ka afterwards. 😁
Juicing greens with a cold pressed juicer is really a game changer. I still dive into juicing once in awhile when I get to feeling really bad and it always helps.
@IsayUncle the problem for me with a lot of the juice options is the sugar content. Still, cold pressed is better than a lot of the options found in the juice aisle at the store (which I rarely go down). I did get a "golden goodness" from another brand because it was on sale and had more vitamins than the other one I was looking at
I just made sure to water it down so I didn't get as much sugar. But then I had it more than once a day so I don't think it really helped anything...
happy monday everyone!
@IsayUncle it sounds like you had a rough week last week! i was going to respond sooner but got caught up with things. i wanted to say your dogs are very lucky to have such a thoughtful owner who's building them a fence for their own protection! it sounds like you have a good handle on a handful of things you'd like to work on and i'm in the same boat, chipping away at things.
my the first chore i've worked on is sleep schedule. i'm glad i succeeded in this goal last week - i maintained a sleep schedule throughout. there were only two nights i went to bed later than i wanted, but still got up early within my goal timeframe so feel good about that!
i do have a question for you - when you were working on achieving one core balance chore, how long did you do it before adding a second chore to maintain? maybe it's just a play it by ear thing, whenever you feel like you can add a second thing?
the goal this week is to keep up with my sleep schedule and work on dental issues i'm dealing with (a little each day as far as stuff to do).
@fearlessWriter78
Thank you. 😅... it was tough! Doing better now.
Congratulations on your sleep schedule. That is really a big deal and the best starting point ever. If you can keep maintaining that, eventually another task that is important to you will start showing it's priority, kind of on its own. And that's when you tackle another task for your core balance.
These are things that are repetitive, things that are done every day or every week for a healthier lifestyle. These ain't things that's like a goal like saving up money for vacation or building a garden or fixing a car.
We all have different lifestyles. Our repetitive necessities vary but most are monotonous and hard to maintain everyday. What yours are, are important to you.
I'm proud to be able to use the term core balance item. You got started on one important core balance item for yourself, and if you maintain it long enough, you will find a sense of balance to yourself and then for another core item.. The key is not to lose your first..... If the first starts to fall apart, retreat a little and save the first. It's a flexible choice with a lenient progression dynamic.
What's the next thing you want to work on?
AND AGAIN... So Happy for you, 🤩 with the sleep schedule. Great job!
@IsayUncle that makes sense and is super helpful! just last night i thought about my initial goal of my sleep schedule and how i tend to eat later at night and that can make me go to bed later than i want to. so i thought a related goal is to eat dinner earlier each day, so that's what i'll be working on this week!
@fearlessWriter78
That sounds like a great plan! A foundational step that can be repeated daily. i think you get it, (about building a "Core Balance".
I could never work on my Overall Balance if my core items are not in thier order...
some people can plow through a day of scrambled eggs.... but i just curl up and hide.
Good luck with your new goal.... You can do it! 👍😃
@IsayUncle yeah, talking to you has been helpful for me to have a better understanding and appreciation for core balance chores than before!
funny you mention scrambled eggs, my favorite way i like eggs! but i get what you're saying. on a physical level, with my health issues sometimes my mind can feel scrambled if i have a flare up. speaking of food, turns out i love rocky road ice cream... and boy has it been a rocky road for me these past few years. some people can weather when things get chunky much better than me but i like to think i'm learning and developing resilience too.
@fearlessWriter78
Thanks, I'm glad to hear it. TBh, talking to you helps me out too. 😃.
Ha HA Rocky Road, good one 🤣 Sometimes the road is really chunky and only your resilience can push you past it. Especially with extra burdens like health flare ups.
Stay focused on what you "can do" and repeat it over and over. Doing what we can, repeatedly builds our strength. Sometimes we miss a beat but it's ok if we've built a single pattern... because we get back to it asap and it feels good.
What we think, we "cannot do" is really never ending and only saps our strengh. I glad you feel like your resilience is stronger. I really like that word... resilience..., tough, flexible, hard to break. 👍
I hope you do well with your second daily core balance task this week. Eating earlier. And May your flare-ups be fewer this week than last. 🙂
This weeks quote from my Daylio app that really spoke to me.....

I am finding that sometimes I shut out the world to achieve my goals....and lose myself while doing it....I am also finding that sometimes I need that connection with someone else to keep me on track and help motivate me so I can achieve my goals....
@CyclingThroughLife
I have lost the ability to interact with a social life due to a triangle of inadaquacies. With financial security someday, i'm looking forward to approaching the benefits of it again.....
But you're right, cycling, it helps move things along in a much better way, 😀
I function well alone right now, but sometimes....💔😢
Found a good template for the business continuity plan. It mentions potential obstacles that I never even considered like utilities (water/power).
The second policy ties in with the first so I should have it all done today or tomorrow. Then I can go back and work on the presentation for the 6th assignment. Once I get this submitted, I'll be 70% complete with the course and I've got until the 1st week of May to finish.
Today I got the monthly assignments at work so now I have to deal with all the contradictions in the Customer Folders. Reports being run twice even though they are good for a year, blank folders that have been sitting there for two or three months taking up space, files just thrown in one folder (transaction history, background reports when those should be separated), no consistency in file)folder names so I have to fix (people totally don't get the formatting for Irish and Scottish names), etc. and I'll probably get reprimanded for something insignificant again... probably for not getting all these reports done in a day even though they say I have three weeks to do them.
@Enthenia
The monthlies at your work just sounds like a junk pile they dump on you, that other people are not skilled enough to sift and sort through, with all thier ignorance and laziness.☹️
@IsayUncle I don't really get how this company functions actually.
When I'm there, I try do do the impossible and not get mad when I fix other people's mistakes. Like putting a comma between last and first name. May not seem like a big thing but the computer sorts things based on characters. If the formatting isn't the same for all the folders, the sorting is wrong.
@Enthenia
ABSOLUTELY..... I get it! 😖. You are exactly right about that simple comma thing.
Reminds me of a quote, you could stamp on thier foreheads..... "Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves".

AND A BUSINESS CAN RUN SMOOTHER AND MUCH MORE PROFITABLE FOLLOWING THIS MODEL.
Show this to your minion bosses! 😁
You get it, and it will serve you well in the future. Stay the course.
@IsayUncle none of my minion bosses are in the office today. I'm actually all alone in my section. Doesn't matter to me because I have the same job to do whether or not anyone else is here.
A manager from the corporate office is here today and she seemed shocked that I dealt with traffic every day. Not sure why. The corporate office is in the middle of town near all the hotels and resorts. Traffic is worse down there...
Got little accomplished today. Got the late morning/afternoon shutdown that I tend to get after eating. Had to get up and move to the bed because when I became alert enough, I realized my neck was hurting but I wasn't functioning enough to do anything.
When I became alert again, it was time to take someone out to play. Now she's asleep so I can't really do anything...
@Enthenia
i I think it's OK to have days like that.😃. Get a little bit done, then like you said, "after eating something or whatever go lay down for a bit."
I'm sorry to hear your neck was hurting you, but other than that, it sounds like you had a well deserved, restful day.
I had big plans for today but it's raing pretty bad right now. 🙁
@IsayUncle I don't like idling away two to three hours especially when it's unintentional. I wish my system worked right like it used to. Today I have to do all that I didn't do yesterday.
Right now someone is waiting to go out with her ball...
