i'm still trying to get stuff back on track. last week was me trying to calm my nervous system, and i am calmer but still working on it. everything has piled up from not doing much last week, so i'm a little overwhelmed. but i'm getting back on track which feel better.
my sleep schedule is slowly getting back to normal and i have one goal this week to start doing something for my teeth.

Sleep schedule and Teeth goals. You can do it. It's hard to focus when lots of other things seem to get in the way. (And medical stuff too). So it's easy to feel overwhelmed and get distracted. (no fault.. just a struggle).

Got the withdrawal request started. Had to lower some pending payments since the process will take longer than expected. Will have to pay some late fees but I will be able to pay more on those accounts (and close one) once the funds get deposited into my bank account.
Starting on the presentation. If I can get that mostly finished today, then I can work on the audio at home.
@Enthenia It can be frustrating to have to wait for things to process. It's really good that you can close an account and pay more on others. Hopefully things will move a little quicker than expected and you won't have many late fees
@mytwistedsoul it may seem counterproductive but I'd rather pay myself back and get some third-party accounts closed. I opted for direct deposit but it may still take some time to process.
Almost done with the presentation portion but I still have to do the narration and work on the timing. My last one was short on the length.
@Enthenia I think it makes perfect sense. Plus this accounts probably have interest too. So paying them off is a good idea and actually ends up saving money in the long run

Dealing with work nonsense now. Got told by the person I'm supposed to be helping how to do things I already knew how to do so it was a waste of both of our time. If we had an actual team with real leaders instead of in-crowds an autonomous employees, there would be better production and less repetition.
Didn't get the narration recorded for the presentation last night. I'm going to write one in Notepad later today then import it into the text to speech program at home. If I can get what I want written beforehand, then I can work on the timing later. And the dog won't feel like I'm ignoring her.

@mytwistedsoul I don't think she has an "off" button. Even after being outside for over an hour (thankfully it's cooler this week. Once it warms up again, she won't be able to go out for long which means I'll have to entertain her inside which is a little more difficult because she tends to want to play with her outside toys) she'll want to play and I have to make her rest.
I got an email about the funds transfer and a reminder that it can take three business days to post. Pretty close to what I figured. I've got a couple small payments scheduled for tomorrow and larger ones set for Friday. I can change them if the deposit comes tomorrow (which would be ideal).
Currently stuck in a copy and paste look at work. Forgot that Xcel doesn't like large data pastes so I have to copy the deposits from the online platform to WordPad which keeps the formatting but minimizes the data size and then paste that into Xcel. Tedious but it's the only way I can get seven pages of data into a spreadsheet with minimal formatting.
@Enthenia Aww she definitely keeps you busy! She sounds like a sweet girl tho :) Yeah it does seem to get hot right away. The weather here has been weird this spring

I got some of the audio. I thought I had sent the presentation to my home email but I didn't. I figured that if I get a narration typed, then do the AI voice, import that into the presentation and then time the presentation on the audio file, I should get the length closer to what the instructor wants. Unfortunately, I'm delayed a day since I couldn't look at the presentation last night.
But now I have to do six or seven things at the same time at work (once again).

Not going well today. Email from my academic coach about lack of engagement. Also getting emails about assisting with the backlog of Canadian reports. There's overtime!!! There's also less regular people to get overtime because they promoted so many. Currently, I'm helping someone else with their work and I need to get back on mine because I have a couple that will be due soon.
It's taken me most of the day to compile the info for one state (even though I did do some other things also) and I can't spend what time I have left on it because I have to get the narration done so I can submit it no later than tomorrow.
I think the pressure is getting to me because my chest is starting to hurt...
@Enthenia Hey.. take a deep breath. You're one person doing a lot of different things all at once. With your school work and the stuff you have to put up with at work ... It's a lot

@mytwistedsoul they changed how they record participation. I used to be able to view reading material and that counted. Not any more. I got a script and figured out how to add pauses to text to speech. Just need to preview it but now I have to play with someone and I'll have to eat soon.
@Enthenia Oh boy they could have mentioned that to people. I wonder how many other people got that same message? Regardless of what anyone else says - I think you're doing an awesome job keeping up with everything. You get your assignments done and handed in, you work full time and have pets you look after
@mytwistedsoul I did stay up too late. Only an estimated four hours of sleep last night. I had to break the audio up into sections because it was too long. I think it helped the quality. Then I found an online tool where I could merge them. This morning I found some royalty free music that I used as intros and outros for the presentation and now I'm just trying to get it all together. Then I need to get back to my job
I wasn't able to do a picture last night so I'll have to try and do two today
@Enthenia It's pretty cool that you're finding all these cool things to help you put the audio together. I wouldn't have any idea where to start and had no idea that much of this was available! 😅 I hope you get it all pulled together without a problem and can get a couple hours more rest
@mytwistedsoul well it's submitted. I still didn't get the length that the instructor wanted but all the info is there. I got over 8 minutes. She wanted fifteen. Twelve slides, intro music, exit music, narration and I couldn't even get ten minutes.
And that thing I was supposed to help a coworker out with? Upper management decided they don't want to do that anymore. I think the department that's supposed to research the customer's occupation complained about the increase in work. For people who did over $250k in activities, they wanted to have records of their occupation. It makes sense. If someone with a $40k position is doing transactions that's way over their pay grade, then something must be going on.
So I can write up the two people I have that are suspect tomorrow and then finish the lab for the 8th assignment. 8 and 9 are papers so those won't be too hard.
@Enthenia Eight minutes is pretty good imo. You have every thing included that was required. Some things can only be stretched so far
@mytwistedsoul I started a response last night but I fell asleep. I don't do the sunrise services (mainly because someone has me up before sunrise) but I appreciate the sentiment.
I was only able to do fifteen minutes on the lab. Got my participation up to 33%. Was 25% I think. Took me most of the day to sort the data on the two accounts. I don't get why everything this company does is retroactive. Like occupation. Don't wait until they hit $250K to pull that information and then flood the department who researches that with requests. Or what I had.
Two accounts opened the same day presumably a husband and wife. Both accounts had almost identical emails. The email server was the only thing that was different. Both had the same address. Both initial deposits were made from the same account. Then the accounts lie dormant for about a year. Then last month, there's a flood of deposits and withdrawals and someone in fraud notices it and disables the accounts Then I get to looking at the data and see that on some days, there are withdrawals to five different bank accounts. Why didn't the payments team catch that? Why didn't the bank catch it? Isn't it unusual for a single person to have three checking accounts at one bank? And some of the accounts showed up on the other account. I found out that over $1M was processed through those accounts last month. The initial deposit was less than $5k and then they say there with no activity for almost a year.
If someone has noticed this unusual activity before now or actually decided to pursue a concern (the fraud guy said he had mentioned it to his supervisors before but nothing happened), this could have been stopped before the $1M went through our system.
Closing the barn door after the horse has bolted solves nothing.

@Enthenia Wow all those deposits and withdrawals do sound pretty sketchy. I had a credit card number stolen recently and I wondered too why someone didn't catch it. The card had not been used in years and then boom I'm in a different state than the one I live in and I'm going on a shopping spree? Nah I don't think so lol. To add insult to injury whoever did it had the cc company push through a payment of a couple thousand so they could go shopping again. It's bee

@mytwistedsoul well the accounts on our end are disabled at the moment but not after a lot of money went out.
The dog has an appointment with the vet on Friday for grooming and a vaccination so if she's not energetic like normal by then, I'll let them know.

@mytwistedsoul letting her roam free today. She won't drink water in the crate. Put some cat food down for her. She's not supposed to have cat food but the cat won't eat that flavor and I want to see if she'll eat something. If they have to look at her for an illness at the vet, they'll want to do blood work and that's $300. Doesn't seem like a lot but rent is due next week...

That's a huge amount of money! sounds like she got that tick lyme disiese. 1/8- 1/4- 1/2? aspirin for pain until you can afford blood work... or some general pain meds from vet.
PS... i have 6 dogs and had many more previously. there is Strong mixed opinions about aspirins + dogs. Small amounts never hurt and mostly benefited all mine when they were feeling puny.
@Enthenia It doesn't sound like she's feeling good at all 😞 Especially if she's not wanting to eat. Blood work gets so expensive unfortunately. They might hold off on her vaccinations if she's sick - idk if that would help you financially for the blood work. Maybe you could suggest a possibility of Lyme without having a lot of expensive tests done? Maybe ask if they can put her on doxycycline and gabapentin if she's in pain. A lot of the pain meds they have for dogs require a monthly blood test to make sure it's not damaging their liver or kidneys. Gabapentin usually doesn't require the monthly testing
@mytwistedsoul she's a lot better, thankfully. She actually requested to go out and play. We left at around five and didn't get back in until close to seven. She even played a bit with one of her friends. And she took the plain chicken that I cooked for her last night. She also had a few bites of her dry food this morning and tried playing with the cat.
Of course she picked up something on our walk this morning because I heard a crunch (thought she had paused to sniff a bush). Hopefully whatever it was won't affect her too much.
@Enthenia Oh that's wonderful news! I'm glad she's feeling better. Sounds like she was really enjoying her time out :) and she's eating! Woo hoo! That's always wonderful to see when they haven't been themselves
@mytwistedsoul and I don't have to do extra vet fees! I have pet insurance for just in case but rent is due next week and I don't know what the reimbursement time would be. I haven't had to file a claim yet.
@Enthenia That is such a smart thing to do! I told myself the next dog(s) I get I'm going to get insurance for them. There's been too many expensive emergencies that have popped up. Google says it can take 15 days so it would make you late for rent 😕

@IsayUncle No problem lol. It's what one of my dogs was on. She had been on rimadyl for arthritis but it affected her liver so she was on Denamarin to lower her enzymes. It was an expensive lesson. After that mess they started using gabapentin and it didn't do any damage or caused any problems 😊

They're wonderful and doing well. Being a loving/loved dog owner yourself, you could probably understand some of the stuff I could tell you of each of these dogs. They're all very close to me. I go outside is when they start playing. They all want my attention until they start play fighting and chasing each other around getting jealous, just having fun with each other.
I have one worrisome situation with a super smart blue heeler mixed breed. Chasing road travelers. i have very little CAR traffic on my backwood road. But a lot of off road vehicles and bicyclists. I've been training BB in a training collar for the past couple of weeks. He figured it out immediately. He doesn't like it, but on the very first sound setting, he comes instantly to me.
That's a good start but i need a large fenced in area and possibly electronic fence to keep everyone save. None of my dogs are aggressive but people get scared and dogs might get nippy at worst.
Tomorrow is the yearly "Red Bud Run". A bicylist event / marathon involving several different sight seeing routes to see all the red buds blooming. My road is one of those routes.
@IsayUncle They all sound like awesome dogs! You're pack leader and of course they have to show off for you 😂 Oh gosh yeah I've heard that heelers are really smart dogs and being working dogs they get bored easily. I totally understand wanting a large fenced in spot because you can't always be in eyesight and you know it just takes one Karen in the bunch to stir up a hornets nest and cause unwanted and unnecessary trouble 😕
Oh redbuds! Cool! They haven't really popped here as much yet. I've been wanted to pick some to make tea and jelly. I've heard it's good

Your fine. I think it's neat how quickly your mind went to making jellies and teas with the red buds. I got them all around me, and I hear that they edible and maybe medicinal but never take the time to play with it. And I love doing stuff like that.
I can't seem to get past the struggling day-to-day stuff to really enjoy things. But it's really good talking with people that do, 'cause at least it keeps my mind going in that direction. 🙂.
