2025 Week #17 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 04/21/25 - Sunday 04/26/25)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

THINGS GET BETTER, WHEN WE LET THE CLOUDS MOVE AWAY?
Always let a little hope shine, on a cloudy day.
Things do get better. Believe it. Do it. You can, and you will.
My main goal this week is to apply to 5 jobs. I've been seeking out a job for the summer since January, and I've completely stopped applying in April and I've even cancelled interviews because there was so much going on that needed my attention.
How I'm Going To Get This Done:
- Compile a list of jobs to apply to (COMPLETE)
- Write a cover letter for each position from a convenient template I use
- Send the e-mail (the hardest part!)
Since I've been struggling w/ depression, doing goals has been a challenge. Still, I am determined to try and get this done.
@greenCamp8697
It seems you've been working pretty steady in that direction and that's a good thing. Sometimes it's important when necessary to take a breather and get away from the rat race for a minute.
Now that it's time to start again, you have a great plan and if your depression doesn't keep your shut down too badly, I hope you have a good success with it.
I think it's just a very stressful situation to be put in and it's kind of easy to get depressed on top of that. It sounds like you know that it's important to keep putting out applications and that shows how strong you are.
If you can't get 5 done, then do 10..... Just kidding, 🙂. Get as many done as you can. Sounds like you have a real good plan that should work well.
Stay on track with my assignments and keep an eye on the dog. At least she still wants to play with her favorite toy and she had a little bit of yogurt last night but her energy isn't where it should be. Tried giving her some cooked chicken last night but she wouldn't take it. The cat loved her portion though.
@Enthenia
That is strange that she didn't eat that cooked chicken. If she is feeling ill, it's probably something simple and the vet we'll be able to help you out.
@IsayUncle tried giving her some pumpkin which I keep on hand for such instances but she wouldn't take it. Took her out to the trash and let her walk in the grass. She ate a few blades then came back inside. She's played with her toy. Now she's resting.
Want to get some rice and broth for her tomorrow. May get some more chicken.
Meant to say that I need to redo the final part of the lab. I don't think I did the instructions correctly. Once that is done, I can work on the paper part of the assignment.
I want to get all my core balance chores done before this evening so I can leave the house early in the morning for work.
Doing Fair is Fantastic, When Suffering Daily Motivation
(I will try to improve week #17 by 1% or better)

WEEK 16 of 2025: (OVERALL 39% = FAIR) Core Balance Chores: 18 - Physical Therapies: 6 - Employment: 27 - Income: 5 Forward Objective: 16 - Alcohol (+/-) -3 | Total 69/175 = 39%
@IsayUncle You got this!
![]()
Got some concrete pads poured Sunday for a sawmill. Now just waiting on two bunks that were missing in the crate. Got some things planted in the garden. Need to go over the mower today since it sat all winter
@mytwistedsoul
Congratulations on getting a sawmill. If i remember, you do woodworking projects,
A sawmill will be amazing!
Keep me "logged in" on your progress. 🤣
@IsayUncle Thank you! I'll keep you posted 😂😂
@IsayUncle There's also strawberries :D
@BlueDarkAurora I love strawberries! 😊
@mytwistedsoul

@BlueDarkAurora Yep! 😂 Double handed berry munch! 😋 There's over 140 strawberry plants and I am looking forward to making fresh strawberry pie 😋

@mytwistedsoul :O nice, what else have you planted? Are you a good dessert maker :D? Will you SHARE pictures xD?
@BlueDarkAurora There's plum, apple, cherry, pawpaw, peaches And blueberry bushes. Raspberries and blackberries but they grow wild. I've started some potatoes and sugar peas. And there's carrots and cabbage still growing from last year. And mint. Which is great for tea. I'll probably do some snap peas and red beets yet
@mytwistedsoul woah :O that's so amazing!!!

@BlueDarkAurora Thank you 😊 I like to grow things 🤭 Do you get to do any gardening?
@mytwistedsoul
I agree with @BlueDarkAurora. That's pretty cool to have those fruits and yearly vegetables. Do you actually get any paw paws. I have a paw paw tree but I've never seen a fruit period
I told my nephew I don't have time for planting and he told me just dig a hole and go throw some seeds / sprouts in it. May not be the best way in the world but something will pop up sooner or later.
So I got a lettuce root sprouting pretty good right now and I dried out some green pepper seeds. Maybe I'll go dig a hole and jsut keep doing that this year with things.
@IsayUncle That's a good idea :3 I hope a lot of veggies grow ^-^ and you get to enjoy them!
@BlueDarkAurora
Honestly, probably won't find the time..... but if i do, i'll post a picture.
@IsayUncle I do get pawpaws! The squirrels will steal them but I usually end up with a dozen or so

@mytwistedsoul
thx, i've never seen one. r they about 4-6 inches long? a neighbor pointed out a couple of trees on my property but said he hasn't seen any fruits grown in the area for years.... i quit looking. when r they ripe?
Do you have to pick them or wait till they fall from the tree?
Those squirrels can be real wascals sometimes.
@IsayUncle Yeah they're about that size. I usually get them after they fall unless there's a certain one I have my eye on them I'll pick it. I leave them on the counter until they get soft. But I think you can eat them before they're ripe too. They might have a different taste. I'll have to try that. They have kind of a banana/ mango-ish taste and the texture is kind of like custard
I wonder why they won't give fruit 🤔 I'll have to check into that
The squirrels here have started to become a pain in the backside. They're chewing on everything. They've never been this big of a problem but this year omg
@mytwistedsoul I tried once and it didn't go so well ^^' It requires a lot of care and time, I lack both o_o But if you ever need a new neighbour :D
@BlueDarkAurora Howdy neighbor! 😀 (brings you fruit and veggie basket) Aww that's understandable though. It does take a lot of time and there's days that I struggle to find the time for it too
@mytwistedsoul aww you would do that<3 :D I might just never leave @_@

@BlueDarkAurora Lol I would 😊 I do it for some of the older neighbors in the area. Fruit - veggies and eggs
That's ok! You can hang out with the horse and the chickens if you get bored. They're all really friendly. The chickens are a little too friendly sometimes
@mytwistedsoul I see what you're doing 0_0 this is a plan to sacrifice me to the roosters lol xD.. And I'll let you know that it is totally working D:
But it's so sweet that you do that<3 not the sacrifice but the sharing of the veggie eggs.
@BlueDarkAurora (scratches that off the to do list) What?! 😲 No way! Never! 😂 Nah seriously the mean roosters have their own areas away from the hens. There's just Jack in with the one flock and he's never made a bad move towards anyone
People shouldn't be hungry ❤️
@mytwistedsoul That's true<3 And I'm glad you're doing what you can, I'm sure it matters so much. There's so much love and care behind it<3 ^-^
Also I like jack, he can be my emotional support pet :D

@BlueDarkAurora ❤️
@BlueDarkAurora
i'm gonna try random lazy planting... (maybe) 🤣.
Got the lab done and did the mini quiz on the 9th assignment. That should keep me as involved in the course.
Submitted the review for the two accounts at work and may start on the 9th lab after lunch.
Trying not to worry about the dog...
Working on the 2nd policy for the assignment. Will have it submitted this afternoon.
Dog is better. Wanted to go out and play yesterday and ate some chicken last night. Even tried to get the cat to play with her which she didn't do yesterday.
Unrelated but found out that one of the leads blocked me in email correspondence. Just find that funny because one of the things I got in trouble for nearly two years ago was not including all supervisors on emails. So when three or four got promoted in January, I made sure to add them to the email list because I really didn't want to get in trouble again. But yesterday when I went to send the email, I was told that I didn't have permission to send to a certain person. Seems to be a lot of double standards here.
@Enthenia They blocked you?! That's so... immature. Especially for a work place!
I bet the cat was happy about the play attempt! The cat here used to get so upset that the dogs tried to initiate something! It's so great she's feeling better ❤️
@mytwistedsoul I'm assuming that's what happened since it said that I don't have permission to send emails to that person. Just find it ironic because another person apparently threw a fit for me leaving them off of emails and it was one of the trumped up things I got in trouble for that one time I got in trouble and yet here we are... someone intentionally leaving me off (mine wasn't intentional but management basically alluded to the fact that it was harassment. It wasn't. None of what I got in trouble for was completely accurate and unbiased. One main reason why I keep my distance from people at work.) and no one will say anything.
I don't know if the cat is happy with her feeling better or not...
@Enthenia It does sound like they blocked you. It's so sad if they did because of it being work emails. And then to have gotten into trouble for accidentally not putting someone on. These people seem pretty good at coming up with excuses and reasons to get someone into trouble 😕 I don't blame you for keeping your distance from people at work. I would too because someone could blow things out of proportion and twist it around just to get you into trouble. It must be a relief when you get home to your own space - just to be away from the toxic tension
@mytwistedsoul I'm past the point of caring about that place. I go in for eight hours, five days a week. I try not to let things get to me. Most of it is outside things and things I can't control like a standardized set of rules for the file folders. And, I think the mile walk down to the bus stop helps a bit. It gives me time to decompress from work.
Today, I didn't have to be concerned with work at all. I took the dog out to play then took her down to the vet for her appointment and shot (she did not want to leave me but she needs to get her coat shortened for the warmer weather) and I went to the grocery store that I can only get to when I take a day off. I'd take more days off--I mean I have plenty, but I don't want the dog becoming used to me being home because that would make things more difficult when I did go back to work.
And work is where I can work on my assignments. 44% done on the 9th lab and I need to do the paper for it. Only one assignment left after that and then I can move to the next course.
Got to watch a animated film that I had sitting around the place. I can only do that when the dog isn't here which is rare and the cat enjoyed roaming free without having the dog about (she always tries to get the cat to play and the cat doesn't always want to) and I ran a carpet rake over the carpet. Picked up a lot of pet fur. Now, I'm doing a few things on the computer that I don't usually get to do.
@Enthenia That walk probably does do good to decompress. With each step a piece of work gets left behind until you've shed the whole thing and you feel like a weight has lifted off your shoulders
@mytwistedsoul well my doctor told me to exercise more (which is what they generally tell me) and it's less stress than dealing with waiting for the bus and wondering whether or not it will show up.
The dog feels better with her haircut. Don't know if I care for the puffy tail...

@Enthenia I think that's probably something that doctors tell everyone tbh. Yeah the time that it would take waiting and wondering if the bus is on time or even going to show up is better used just walking instead
@Enthenia
She's a beauty! Soft, Huggable and snuggable! 🥰 I'm glad they didn't find nothing physical wrong.
@IsayUncle well I think I found out why she wasn't feeling well. I had moved a chair to get closer to the computer and when I put it back, I found a pigeon. I'm thinking she brought it in without me knowing. The first week I had her, she tried picking up a dead pigeon and I told her no and she let it go. She must have brought the one I found in the back door without my knowledge.

I'M NOT FUNCTIONG WELL 22% PERFORMANCE ------ POOR!
@IsayUncle * sits with you* Tomorrow is a new start to a new week. Let's take a deep breath. How can I help?
@mytwistedsoul
thanks, it'll be better. I never took medication for anxiety or depression so i have an appoinment wednesday. my ups and downs are discouraging and destructive to my goals. At 65 I'm thinking i have no more time to waste.
Just being yourself helps a bunch. Thanks for asking and keep sharing them improvements! 👍🙂
@IsayUncle I think it's great that you made an appointment. It can be really hard to ask for help. Especially if, like me, you're really, really independent. It's maybe not so much about age or wasting time I think but living your best life. I see how hard you're trying. You deserve to live your best life.
