Good morning @Isayuncle thank you for starting this thread. Let's make it a good week!
I have my monthly meeting this week, and I plan to initiate a conversation with my boss at the end of the meeting. After talking with a mentor I have decided to discuss with my boss my work responsibilities. I am fortunate to have a great boss, but it is a big step for me to initiate a conversation like this virtually and maybe I will be able to work it into a pay raise in the future. So my goal is to be prepared to discuss my job duties proactively, so that I can get some clarity and make sure I am meeting expectations.

That's great you have a good boss. Even with a good boss, it's reassuring to talk about expectations and possible paths forward.
Sometimes it's hard to put it all together, but I'm sure you will do well. I hope it goes really good for you.

UPDATE I had a meeting with my boss and she is happy with me and my work. She likes that I make her job easier. Maybe it's generational, but in my mind that is the goal. Basically I guess I am on my own with my job responsibilities. I expected that really, and it is not necessarily a bad thing. We made some progress in that I will be able to be more involved with the higher level meetings on a quarterly basis as a result of this meeting which will make the job a little less ambiguous.
I would like to work this into a promotion and a raise somehow, but we are a small company with limited resources. I have felt appreciated in many ways monetarily and in general. It's a sweet job really, so I want to proceed carefully. So I faced a challenge in initiating the meeting and I am one step closer further along my career progression.

Wth the way things have been going for me I have no idea what I should strive for this week.
Found out this morning that I had forgotten about a random task that was assigned to me. Have to get it done today. Have to finish the monthly assignments and go back and redo two submitted assignments since I did have the formatting wrong. Do the paper for the 5th assignment and the labs for the 6th.
And I have the whole bank/rent thing to get through plus my back has been hurting a bit (PR from lugging the dog food to the apartment) & I need to check my mail but I have to borrow keys from the apartment office since mine were never recovered and I don't particularly want to until I get the payment resolved but my replacement ID should be coming soon....
Might be putting the car before the horse but I got an email about a financial aid disbursement. If I get a refund, I can use that towards the fees. Won't know until after the tuition is paid.
You sound like you are a very responsible student. If you are not normally late on rent you could try asking for them to waive the fee this time. It doesn't hurt to ask and maybe they will waive it.
@reservedOwl321 they said I'd have to pay the fees when I called. Once it's paid up, I'll be good for July. Get paid 3x that month so that will help. And I found an app on the phone that rewards you with credits if you meet goals on specific games. The credits can be turned to money and then withdrawn to your bank account. Sounded like a scam but I have $90 that can be moved to my bank account today if I wanted to.
Not something I can rely on all the time but maybe it will help.
@Enthenia. I think some of the fees are ridiculous these days. I'm glad you have a backup plan.

@IsayUncle it was a beautiful Friday. Bus never showed. I could have walked down to where I could get the connection but my weather app. kept alerting me about the heat and high UV levels. I caught the next one and found out a block after my stop that the call button wasn't working. I was the only one that wanted off at that particular stop (which was weird because there's usually at least four others that get off there). So I ended up walking. It was longer than if I had just walked down to get the connection because I was in a residential section and it took awhile to get to the cross street that would get me to my street.
Had my umbrella up but had to battle the gusts of wind. The umbrella completely inverted on me while I was waiting to finish crossing the street (cars who want to turn right don't care about pedestrians) and I think I may have had a bit of heat exhaustion when I got inside.
Then this morning I let the dog out to get her toy and she tries running after a lady and her little dog. My dog usually is so focused on the toy that I was surprised she did that. The lady was screaming and I called my dog back. She came.
My fault both times. My errors just seem to keep piling up. I wonder at times what the point is.

Yea I totally understand, and I don't know why those days happen. AND NO it is not all your fault. I could go on and on about how the broken call button wasn't your fault, well how the weather was not good for you, how sometimes, the dog would just do their own thing, and how it was strange that nobody else got off at your stop, and on and on and on.
Not every day is like this. But it sure does seem crazy when it happens, almost ridiculous and laughable if it wasn't so frustrating. Let it go, let it go..... If you can and hopefully today is better.
I don't know why days like this happen but they do, especially the people that are trying very hard to keep things in order, improve themselves and take care of their responsibilities. And that's exactly what you are doing.
I think sometimes, when days like this happen, it is very exasperating for someone trying so hard to keep things in order.
I don't know what the point is, maybe kicking us into survival mode helps us remember that we are strong and we will win. Things might knock you down, but from what I'm learning about you, they are not going to keep you down.
I'm really sorry you had one of those days. I hope today is a little bit easier on you. And remember, try not to blame everything on yourself. There are always hundreds of mitigating circumstances that end up causing us problems out of the blue sky that that we don't deserve or even caused. But we still have to deal with them and it's not good to blame ourselves for everyday setbacks.
And I do know we can always say, " but if I did this or I did that" that thing wouldn't have happened. The truth is, maybe something else would have happened.... so do we blame ourselves again?
There's a balance between taking responsibility for our actions, and understanding that everything that happens in our world is not our fault. 💖

@IsayUncle well I spent less at the grocery store than usual so that's something. I met one of the requirements on a gaming app that I downloaded. Only got a dollar so far. I did do another one but I have to wait until tomorrow to see if the amount got deposited. If it's legitimate, I will be able to transfer out enough to pay back what I borrowed and hopefully add the residual to my next paycheck so I can pay off my rent.
I'm afraid I focused too much on insignificant things so I didn't really get much done today aside from laundry and checking my mail (got a new mail key finally). I was able to rescue my ID since my current one expires next month.
I still need to do pictures because I didn't do one yesterday. Fell asleep randomly yesterday. Wrong foods again or not enough of something. I still need to vacuum but now I have to play with someone. She's been quite patient with me.

I hope those gaming apps are legitimate. I've heard of those before but I've never messed with them. if you're good with that kind of stuff and they are legitimate, that would be a great way to help with your financial burdens.
I too, often start doing insignificant things. Or they seem insignificant but they are a lot of little things that still need to be done. They just aren't big things on my priority list and they end up using up my time and I don't get the big things done. 😕.
I hope you got your floors vacuumed and enjoyed some puppy love.

@IsayUncle well there are a couple that are legitimate. I got over $100 from one of them but it takes a while to meet the goals. This other one I found, I'm not too sure about. It's in development so there's not really reviews but I read on an online article that it can take up to 72 hours for a payment to process. I'll wait and see if anything shows up tomorrow. I'm not going to quit my day job for it but if they can help me get even a little ahead...
I resubmitted my 3rd assignment Friday. The professor wanted running headers which I didn't put because they are required for student papers and apparently I had the font the wrong color. I use dark mode for my eyes and it's always defaulted to black (the word processor) on the font so I didn't even think to look.

Sorry to hear your set back about your running headers. Sounds like you have it under control though so that's very good.
What's your classroom goals for this week, or for this month?
@IsayUncle well I had the font type wrong. I wish it didn't default to Calibri on everything. I have to use Times New Roman and I didn't realize it was different until I was trying to fix the second assignment.
I have four reports left for work so I can focus on doing the 5th assignment and the labs for the 6th soon.
