I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

I am writing my paper in an almost empty office. Hardly anyone comes in on holidays. I wouldn't be here if they gave the regular people holiday pay but I guess it's a good thing they don't. Me being here in an almost emply office lessens my chances at annoying or upsetting someone which I seem to constantly do no matter what the ccircumstances.

Got the paper submitted! Three days over my anticipated submission date but at least I won't get emails about lack of engagement. The next assignment is a PowerPoint presentation. I should be able to get that done before the due date.

Got an email about my financial aid funds being dispersed. Hope there's some left over. Could use it. Still doing the games. Got $50 something pending and I've got $60 in my gift card balance. Going to get some more cleaning supplies with it but I need a little more.

Have to clock out soon so I'll close this.

@IsayUncle less people there is always a good thing. It's not like I really interact with coworkers but less people is better.

I have to resubmit the paper. I didn't meet the requirements and apparently I didn't thoroughly discuss the topics like I thought I had. And, I need to remove the highlighting on the Table of Contents. A drawback of Dark Mode but I can't look at the screen in a normal setting. It makes my head hurt. I know it sounds like I'm making excuses...

It would be nice if something I did would be right and it would work. And no one would have to be nailed to anything (to paraphrase Douglas Adams).

But, whatever changes I have to do will have to be done tomorrow because I have about six minutes left. I have to remember to clock out two minutes later because I fell asleep this morning from the waffle I had. It was one of those small ones and I usually don't have a problem with them but I don't know. That should have given me some sort of clue on how the day was going to transpire....

So it was cooler today than yesterday and I took the dog out to play with her ball. The upstairs neighbor was sitting in her car and I apologized about the bugs and she said that they hadn't reported it. They were having problems upstairs too. I told her that I had never had a problem that bad as long as I've lived here. She said that they're in the apartment building. She also said that no one came up to her place to spray and she asked me if they had told me they were going to do it. I said no and she was upset about that. She said they should have given notice and it was on them for not having the perimeters properly sprayed. We get charged for pest control but they have stated that they don't actively have pest control going around taking care of things.

I don't have to worry about having my upstairs neighbors mad at me but I don't know if somehow this will come back at me. It wasn't really my fault but the office could twist this around to where it looks like my fault. That's generally how things work out for me.

Hello, I made a promise to stay sober. I'm finding it hard. But I would like to keep the promise. The problem I m trying to stop is readily available to me.

Many of us know how difficult that can be. Sometimes i wish alcohol was like water, I never crave that, and it's super healthy to drink a lot of it. SADLY.... alcohol is just the oppisite. but u can do it.

You already succeeded. you stayed sober for how long? You can continue.

Is there anything / We can do, to support, educate and encourage you to conquer this mountain.... because up top is so super wonderful and you can get there, but you're right, it's hard.

Stay at it.
Keep posting about it.
You can do it.

Working on the assignment rewrite. Haven't gotten word about the new month's reports for work so I figured I'd better get the assignment fixed while I still have free time. Added an introduction and a summary section. Not required but I figured I'd better get it in there. Also took off the highlights on the Table of Contents. Not sure if this one will score better than the first one but at least the system sees I'm actually doing things in the course...

Got an  email from financial aid about a refund. More than what I expected. Will get a few items for the apartment with it and pay off some accounts.

Still doing the games. Got a new one that's a fusion of a word scramble and a crossword. Only on the 14th level and I just had the first ad. Some of the games I have are challenging but there's an ad every few minutes which is why I don't play them that much any more.  Have to level up some other ones so I can't spend all day on this word puzzle one.

Going to do some more mandatory training. These are ones due every year. The deadline is next month but since I haven't been assigned anything yet, I probably should get them out of the way. It's the normal things. Fire safety, anti-harassment, data safety, etc.

Dog got to see some of her friends/neighbors this morning. They were leaving the dog park while we were heading over and we walked back with them because apparently a dog my pup is afraid of was in the dog park. That was why the other ones left. But mine was able to play with her friends for a minute or two before the sprinklers came on. I think everyone was happy though. Mine was wound up when I got her inside and I had to chase her a bit before I could corral her and put her in her crate.

@Enthenia

Hi Enthenia, My week is really bad with all my broken vehicles. I'm stressibg everyday, and trying to figure out ways to pay for vehicle repairs. I can't work without my vehicles.

BUT... amongst all my worries, a wierd thing happened. As bad as things currently are, the past month, overall, has been good to me. I had an unexpected air of thankfulness about me, which I do not know where it came from. It felt good. It was funny, I was thankful for all the good things that happened , which brought me to this place of bad luck.

I have found time to read your posts and gave you some hearts of support but have not had time to comment too much. I am sorry about that.

I like it when I get hearts of support. It makes me feel, "not so alone". I hope they help you too.

Some of the stuff you wrote about this week:
Your upstairs neighbor repeated what I said about the insects in it being their responsibility. So I agree with her and I hope you stop blaming yourself. But I do understand the worry you have about losing your apartment. That still wouldn't be your fault but a huge unbearable hardship, so let's hope that doesn't happen.

I'm glad to hear you got your paper resubmitted without the highlights and other adjustments. I hope it works out good for you.

I googled Douglas Adams because your comment. He has a lot of good insights.

Congratulations on your refund financial aid. Sounds like the gaming side of things is pretty hard to keep up with. But it seems like it has helped you out of a few tight spots. It's too bad you have to fight so hard but you should be proud of yourself for doing so.

winner-pat.gif

And last, but not least. It sounds like you and your pup and your puppy's friends had a pretty good time together. That's great. It's too bad that other dog was there and made you leave early but you made the best of it. And sometimes that's the best we can do.

Remember. Most things are NOT, your fault. It is just the way life is. That negative self talk is *** a lot of well deserved good energy you owe yourself.

I can blame myself for my vehicles breaking down on 101 fronts.... but i've been doing the best I can and it's not my fault car parts wear out. WE CAN always keep blaming oursekves for everything.... but it's nicer if we don't, and accept our hardships the best we can.

I'm really in a bad way this week, A heart of support would be much appreciated.

@IsayUncle 💕I am bad about giving hearts. I don't know, to me it's the equivilent of the "like" on FB. Sometimes I wonder about the sincerity of them. Are they given based on the content of the post or are they given because the person feels like it's the thing to do?

Another somewhat good thing happened. I went to get rid of some mail that I had on my kitchen table and I found one that I looked twice at. I opened it and it was a check for an overpayment on a closed account. I think I had pushed it to the side because there's a company that sends things that look like checks but they're actually advertisements. It was almost $100 but the deposit will help a  bit since I'm waiting on the refund from the university. I thought it might go in today but it looks like it will on Monday. At least this extra amount of money will help today. I need to get cat food again. Mine didn't care for the food I had left for her. Actually, I think that's why she wanted to go out last night. Anyways, I'll have to go  to the store this afternoon and get her some.

I need to work on my lab for the second assignment today and try to find a suitable PowerPoint template. We got our monthly assignments at work yesterday afternoon so I need to look at those. And the two random ones I got assigned because those are due soon. Also need to re-enroll in the course that I failed so I can resubmit the assignments and not fail.

As for the games, I've made $145 so far according to the app and I just cleared another checkpoint which will get me another $15 I think once it processes. It won't make me quit my job but if it can help with payments (not doing bank deposits again since it takes waaay too long) for orders then that helps my bank account in the long run.

Fixing vehicles is expensive--even moreso depending on the age and what part needs to be repaired.

I don't fault anyone for not responding. I don't reply most of the time but that's generally because I have nothing particular to say...

@Enthenia

I know what you mean about the insincerity of some heart gestures.

When I first started here, I thought it meant, "that I liked or agreed" with what the post was about but later on I read somewhere, that they are there to show support.

That made a huge difference to me because I didn't wanna just check the heart and especially if I didn't necessarily agree or even have empathy for someone's hardship.

What I did realize, if it means to "show support" or "give support" then I would do that 100% of the time, unless of course it was something that I, absolutely have no appreciation or respect for. But that doesn't happen too often.

We all struggle so hard. For me it's nice to see a heart of support. Especially from friends and aquaintences I've made here that have helped me for a long time. I don't think they are phoney or insincere. I believe they are genuinely showing me support and understanding but do not have the time to talk about it.

Within this app or program, I think it is 99% sincere and a good way of showing support to those you trust and want to wish well. Even when you can't take the time or find words of encouragement. (even members that just click hearts) are trying to show a sign of support.

SORRY for the long interpatation. I do agree with you about other social apps, with the "like" buttons being superficial. I think that's because, those are more about, "I like you if you like me"' kind of thing.

For me, (not others necassarily) this app feels different. When I give a heart of support, I'm not looking for a friendship but I really want that person to know  they matter and I can only give a little support but I hope a little support goes a long way. 💗.

So that's just my blah blah blah unimportant opinion.

The big news is YOU finding a $100 check! That is super awesome. I thought I had won a genuine $1000 prize from a car dealership. I didn't see anything in the fine print to say it was a gimmick. And i know if i were to collect it, they would make me jump through a bunch of hoops. Sadly I was late opening my mail and the offer expired the day before.

Your gaming income always intriques me. I know it's not much but like you say, It Helps! That's a good thing. I wish i could do it but i'm not efficient with gaming. 😕

@IsayUncle I read this earlier but didn't respond. I'm still waking up a bit now. Same trouble. Feeling super tired after eating. Three hours of my life gone. Have a lot of games to do and a few payments to make. Playing with the dog now because she's waited. Was going to take her out since it's not too hot but the humidity is 20%. May not seem a lot to others but it makes a difference when it's normally 3-5%. And since her fur suit has grown back, she'd feel it more. I always try to take that into consideration. If I feel overheated then she definitely will.

Um, I did remember to tick the heart although I do feel slightly apprehensive of it. Maybe it's hard for me to accept sincerity since I don't really have it in actual life. I don't have any sort of communication in real life. Last time I tried, I got in trouble at work and with relatives, it seems like I bother them so I don't.

I don't really have anything else to talk about. I got to the second part of my lab. Still have a lot to do and I have the presentation to create. Got the assignments for work. It's more tedious now. They put our files in a new location and now, I have to open every single one and enable editing on them. One report, I have a lot of states to do so these extra steps are annoying. Then, it takes its time saving the reports because they're in the new location. Not anything I can complain about. I'm a mere foot soldier. I have no rights and no place to say anything. This company has shown me how they treat the unwashed masses. They claim there's an open door policy but that's not true.

@Enthenia

Thanks for the support heart. I think I do understand about being apprehensive but maybe you don't have to be so much here. Having trust and sharing trust is a hard thing to do when most of the time people are trying to put you down, or you feel like people are doing stuff behind your back so I understand. But it was really nice getting that heart of support, thank you. 😊

you really look out for your puppy, he's pretty lucky.

As far as them moving everything around..... Argggh. I really dislike change. Why try to fix something if it ain't broken, and then it messes everything up anyway. Unwashed minions have no say so. 😠. As always, just do the best you can.

So maybe not a big thing but I got my old credit account with the bank paid off. Need to make the final payment on the hospital bill tool. Did some cleaning today and got rid of some shoes I don't use. I don't like tossing things out but I don't wear them and there are still pests in the apartment although there isn't as many. I don't want to give them extra places to hide. Getting some extra supplies today. Just don't know when the package will be delivered. Supposed to be industrial strength. Hope it works.

@IsayUncle I guess. At least it's another one off the slate.

Yes, the puppy is happy although she's not really a puppy anymore. She'll be three in January. She's waiting for me to throw the ball again. I have to learn how to do drywall repair. That ball put another dent in the wall. It's an outdoor toy but she doesn't understand that. I will be glad when it gets cooler and she can go outside for longer. We went out this afternoon to get the package with the repellent and we took her ball out. It was one in the afternoon and she could only play for about ten minutes but she was happy. Of course, she's designed to be running about all day. That's why I have to appease her. She'll get into things if I don't although she isn't as destructive as she used to be.
