I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

Yearly, Refreshed Tag-List (refreshed & new requests welcome)

I’m in surviving mode right now and I’m like ugh every day but I get up and do my best, I don’t eat perfect but I eat something at least (I used to skip meals) so that’s a win for me!

@Spaceowl Hey there! It's nice to meet you 😊 I'm sorry to hear that you're in survival mode. The fact that you get up every day and do your best says a lot and I say yay you! Our days don't have to have big wins, those little wins count just as much. Eating something, resting, being compassionate with ourselves are definitely wins ❤️

@Spaceowl

Heeeey man, Survivor mode is a real thing and it's tough sometimes, (most of the time). Sorry your going through it.

But it's also a time we subconciuosly start digging in for the fight. And that can be a good starting point. Not skipping meals is a big win, I think huge! Good on You! ☺️

Do you want to share how you got into survivor mode.... Or anything else you'd like to talk about and vent maybe. 🤗.

mytwistedsoul really hit the nail on the head with his comments! (I agree 100%)
You can do this and get through it, and we're here to help soften the hardship a little bit.

I’ve been in survival mode for a while…I can’t seem to take care of the house or take care of me for that matter. I’ve been looking a mess lately and the house is too, I’ve been a mess internally and it’s showing through everything. I want to eat healthier as well but it’s a hard battle when you’re fighting so many demons so I’m just making sure I at least eat something for now. I really want to start taking care of myself again, I always feel ugly and unkept. I’m always stressed too about money. I literally have none right now so I make do, but it’s hard. Thanks for letting me vent 🥲

@Spaceowl

No problem....i have sooooo been there and sooooo done that. Venting is the best starting point.

Please continue to do so! i did until pieces starting fitting.

@Spaceowl

By the way, try not to feel ugly or unkept to the point of self criticism. That might sound weird, but I think what I'm trying to say is that its normal to feel ugly and unkept when things are a mess. But I think on some level that's OK.

It's when you start beating yourself up and criticizing yourself and using up a lot of good brain energy tearing yourself down when you can be using that same good brain energy to start building yourself up. Feeling ugly and Unkept is how you feel....... It is not who you are, and it is not where you're going to stay.

It took me a year and a half or more to figure out what my core balance chores were, and those core balance chores kept me going for another year and a half or so, until I was able to stand on my own two feet and get past basic survival...... But many many times I fell back into the valley of survival not knowing if I was going to be able to crawl back out. But then I focused on my core balance chores and climbed out of that pit once again. I did it enough times that I'm doing better now. (taking a bow, thank you 😁) I still have to be careful, not to slip and fall.

Don't beat yourself up my friend, just push in a good direction, like you are doing now. it will work.

That’s so insightful and honestly helps a lot, I’m so hard on myself and it’s become a habit to where I don’t even realize I’m doing it. It’s a hard habit to break! Lol but I need to be kinder to myself -it will help in so many ways. I’ve been hard on myself ever since I was born I believe but I know I can do it. I hope I’ll be doing better soon ☺️

@Spaceowl

Yea, I was too. I thought everyone was better than me, and I mean "everyone". I lost so many good things in life because I didn't believe in myself. The good thing is I don't blame myself, or anyone else. it was my upbringing and I didn't know any better. And obviously those that were bringing me up didn't know any better either.

Now that I do know better, Things are better.... mostly 😅

I understand, I’m going to have to do a lot of work on myself and change my mindset but I believe I can do it. I hope my life can be what I dream it to be…and I hope ur life is or will be too 😊

I guess the goal this week is similar to last week. Not let work get to me. This morning, one of the supervisors was laughing about his mistake to another supervisor. He placed 40 different customers' files in a single folder. No one could figure out where they went until someone else found them.

Yet I get chewed out for getting a date wrong or not running reports on one of the twenty different applications we have access to but don't use every single day but should be remember to do at the drop of a hat even when it's been five months since I've needed to do such a report....

@Enthenia I hope you don't mind that I reply here to what you posted on the other thread

OMG they moved her crate!? That poor girl she must have been scared and felt threatened and then to use her bed the way they did and then had her chew on it. Did you take any pictures? You could maybe make them replace it. Or at least reimburse you for some of it?

And work... It's ridiculous the double standards they have! I know there's nothing that you can do about it but geez. I bet a lot of other places would love having an employee like you. You do your work to the best you can with next to no mistakes. I'm really sorry you have to deal with that all the time ❤️

@mytwistedsoul no. All I could think of at the time was letting her out. She's already high maintenence because of her breed and I'm sure being moved by some stranger must have upset her. She is already leery of guys (that's all the maintenence crew is made of) for whatever reason and I don't think that experience made it better.

My upstairs neighbor said they should reimburse but I don't think it's going to happen. Another dog owner said to take it to court but I don't need that kind of stress and I really don't have proof. I mean I threw the bed away and put her crate back where it belonged. Also no video or pictures of it which if I had, I suppose it wouldn't have happened. I've lived there for over ten years and have never had such a thing happen before not even with the other dog who I let roam around while I was at work.

I have a new pet bed coming with her monthly shipment. It was on sale. It's cheaper than when I got it the first time. It might be another brand but at least she'll have something to curl up in.

As for work, yes it isn't fair. That's why I want to leave but I don't exactly know how and when. I still have to redo the two classes I failed because of this job and I need to pay the past due subscription. Maybe if I hear back from the lawyers over my past job I can take time off and study but then again, I don't know how I'd do it. I can't work from home because of the dog so I couldn't do school at home. I did a bit a year or so ago when I had to download programs because I can't download anything at work but I'm not sure about now. Back then we had a cat so she was able to amuse herself when I tried to do things (although it did take me an entire weekend to complete an assignment sometimes because I'd have to get up and pay attention to her).

Oh and to make things more fun, my computer froze when I bumped a cable so I lost all the addresses I spent all day collecting to do background checks on tomorrow so now I have to start over. I was using WordPad so there was no autosave. Not that it matters. That feature is disabled on our computers.

@Enthenia Aww yeah I can understand that. That would have been my first thought too. It's easier for someone to make suggestions like that when we're not the ones that are dealing with it. I'm sure this whole situation didn't help her feelings towards men. I feel so bad for you both having to deal with this. It had to have been scary for both of you. Her, being in her crate with some strangers coming in and out and moving her crate like that and you not knowing what you're coming home to 😞

I wouldn't want to try taking them to court either because it would be stressful and probably cost more than what replacing her bed would. I know they're not usually too cheap either so I'm really glad you could get one on sale

If you were able to do your schooling again would the library be a place you could go to do it? If it's not too far away of course. I do know it's hard to get things done when there's a doggo wanting attention. I had forgotten that myself until I got Yogi. I would trade him for the world of course but he does add a degree of difficulty to getting things done 😅

Oh man... that would be more than a little frustrating. A bumped cable erasing all the work you did. And to not have any auto save. It happens to me sometimes and that's just when I go to reply to people and it irritates the heck out of me and auto save is enabled
Sending you a little light and love ❤️ I hope today is a better day for you

@mytwistedsoul the library is actually really close to me but I'd have to get a new computer since the monitor on my notebook doesn't work. I have it hooked up to an external monitor at home which is fine but not practical for the library. If I didn't need to work, I suppose I could get a notebook and spend a few hours at the library. I think she'd be fine with that. I mean, she's used to me being gone most of the day so a few hours would be better for her. There are a few freelance typing jobs but I don't know if they're actually legitimate or not. I don't think I'd mind doing that for an hour or two (if they were legitimate) then working on assignments but the thing with freelance is it's not steady and I think one would have to be a lot more personable than I am.

Office never got back to me. So much for the whole taking this "very seriously" spiel. It's not going to make me want to do a maintenance request if something happens in the future. The only reason I did was because the was water coming through the carpet and I thought it was an underground pipe that had burst.

However now, I should use my free time to recompile the addresses I lost so I can do the background checks. Not supposed to work for free but if I don't have most of this stuff done by Friday, they get annoyed even though I've got at least a week and a half to do it...

But, this is speculation for the moment.

@Enthenia Oh that would make it harder with the monitor. Chromebooks are usually pretty reasonable price wise. Yeah I see a lot of ads for writing jobs but it would be a little risky being freelance because of it not being steady. I'm not sure how you could check to see if they're legit or not

I would feel the same thing if they made me wait too. It's good that you did let them know about the water and the carpet in case they do inspections every now and again. Plus with it being wet there's a chance that mold could start growing and cause issues for you and/or pupper.

I hope you can get the addresses together and that cable doesn't cause you more problems

@mytwistedsoul well I have it saved this time. Got 40 names completed. Still have to enter that into the websites we use for the background checks. But, I forgot about one state that's split up into two. I have about ten to fifteen customers I still have to get data on.

And, I just realized that I totally missed my time to clock out and I need to go so I can catch my bus....

WOW, that is amazing recovery.... too bad about such a mishap. 🙁. you were pushing hard. i hope you didn't miss your bus.

ps... something like that would just shut me down, and no-way would i be able to reover like that. I'm impressed! 😀

@IsayUncle I was able to catch it. Even had time to read the book I had with me. I've read it before but it's been a while.

Recovering it wasn't that hard. It was a question of gathering the initial data from twelve different spreadsheets. One only gave me names and birthdates but I had to get the information like address from the documents I had saved. One or two I found that I didn't have to do because someone else had done the background checks on them although I'm sure they weren't as thorough as I am.

Today is a bit of a challenge though. Missed paying my phone bill yesterday. I figured it would be fine because I can still access the Internet through WiFi and I had roughly $15 scattered across various accounts. Still owe about $15 on the phone bill. I can get SMS messages from the carrier but not anyone else so I couldn't clock in. I was able to get on the VPN through my work password so I was able to get the information for my missing names.

But, my manager doesn't know I'm here until the other one decides to come in and tell her that I'm here and I explain that my phone isn't working at the moment because I can't. But, I just saw that Teams is working so I let her know that way. She's going to have to fix the time anyways since I didn't clock out yesterday.

Technology can be a blight at times...

I have about 40 levels to go in a game before I can get $5. At least then I'll only owe $10. Well, maybe not that much. I think I was confusing it with another game. It's not like I'm not trying.

But it does make me wonder if they have an alternative way of verifying if someone loses/breaks their mobile or if it gets stolen? I know they have something if it's company issued but many use their own devices. What happens when that's not accessible?

Do they even plan for things like that? I don't think so. I noticed that there was a drop in approvals for wires and the girl who takes care of them says most of them are now done after the fact. That just seems like it's more likely for people to commit fraud. I mean, it's more difficult to get funds back once they've been sent out especially if something isn't discovered until a couple of weeks later. That just seems to be how this company prefers to do business. Steamrolling ahead with little to no thought of the consequences until it's too late.

Got the phone bill paid so I was able to get on the network. A co-worker agreed that there should be a better process for verification or at least more options. He had gotten a new phone number or device and he had to call IT support because the system wouldn't let him sign in. When people are trying to sign on in order to clock in, a wait for IT to get back to you or an infinite hold doesn't help.

The world sure is changing. I didn't even know that was a thing. The last time i worked in a factory, we just had a timeclock.... and even that had it's own problems too. 🤣.

Good Deal, getting the phone bill paid. 👍😃

@IsayUncle one of my dog's friend's owners said that one of the ride services in our city has signed a contract with a company to implement driverless cars into their services. They have less accidents apparently and there are fewer liabilities. No background checks or insurance or possible assault cases with these vehicles because there is no one driving them. Well I guess technically someone is driving them but it's all done by remote control.

Yes, the world is changing although it may not be for the better.
