2026 Week #12 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 03/16/25 - Sunday 03/22/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

small steps forward,
are
BIG STEPS IN DISGUISE!
Sometimes our progress is like watching paint dry, or the grass grow,
and, some say a watched pot never boils... not true.
The paint will dry and the grass will grow
and if you don't turn off the flame, the water will boil.
STAY AT IT,
Fire up your flame.
YOU GOT IT THIS WEEK!
@IsayUncle
Hope everyone has a good week!

I don't have any pressing goals. Just much of the same as the past few weeks. That's trying to hang on. My region is going through a heat wave. Saw the projected forecast. Almost a hundred during the next few days. It's only March. These extreme temperatures makes it difficult for the dog. She needs to go out and exercise after being stuck in her crate all day but she can't do the heat. It'll start to cool off at like nine at night which is when I'm getting ready for the next day. With an alarm going off at three-thirty, I really can't stay up too late.
I got a notice in the mail about defaulting on my loan from the retirement account. Yet another thing I need to bring up with the lawyers whenever they get back to me. Again, I've had no contact from them aside from automated messages until I was foolish enough to try and request a withdrawal because I was under the impression that I was no longer with my former place of employ. A substantial settlement would help a lot of things. Been getting bombarded with calls from one of those debt relief companies. They have a bunch of different phone numbers because once I block one, another comes through a few days later. I'm already on the do not call list but I think it's on autodial and trying to get the calls to stop seems more tedious than just blocking numbers as they come in.
But, if I can get any sort of settlement, it would help a lot in getting annoying phone calls to stop. Of course, I may be hoping entirely too much in that respect. It would be nice to be on somewhat even ground again and *hopefully* move on/away from my current job. I'd also like to move out of the state I'm currently in but that would take much more cash than what I currently have. Right now, I have enough to replace my bus pass which expires early tomorrow morning and maybe get a few groceries.
@Enthenia
Oh Boy Enthenia, Being bombarded with junk phone calls, especially about debt Can be really stressful. I'm really sorry you are caught up in that trap. That's terrible and it surely is not fair, not only to you but to the general public. It's just not right.
We're not that hot yet here. Take care of your puppy. 😀
@IsayUncle well the call monitoring system I have claims I helped 23 other people by marking one of the numbers as spam. Not sure if it's true or not. I'd like to get everything paid up/off. The most expensive thing being the student loan which may have not even been worth it since I don't know if I can finish the degree with whe way things are going.
The dog's been fine. We're going to play inside this week. At least in the afternoon/evening. My chest has been hurting slightly as of yesterday. Sort of in the center I guess and I had a bit of a headache. I figured it was the heat. I brought my umbrella with me today since there's a UV warning and I have to walk the mile down to the bus stop where there's very little shade. The only thing that concerns me is I believe there was a wind warning too and while my umbrella stands up against most wind, it folds up when there's high gusts. Also, a strong wind makes it difficult to walk.
But now, I should start looking at the data for the report that was due yesterday that I didn't get to because I was too busy copying things to three places and then having to acknowledge that it was okay to copy to three places every single time which slows the entire process down. But those who have titles don't care about that. They just want the work done.
I get all the data collected and attempt to enter it into the other program we're supposed to use and the assignment isn't there. Don't know what happened. Maybe someone else did it. Not the first time I've been uninformed of something.
So it turns out that the person who assigns the tasks on the platform forgot to enter mine in. It's completed. Technically two days late but the extra day wasn't entirely my fault.
@Enthenia
I'm really sorry about your student loan. Maybe you can still take advantage of the schooling and finish the classes if things start going better for you.
Be careful in those high winds.

@IsayUncle well I kept seeing an ad for an AI investment application so I did a search for some tech reviews. I'm skeptical about ads. I found one that was rated almost five stars (the one in the ad wasn't even mentioned, by the way). There's a lot of different options but unfortunately, most of them require an initial cost that is higher than what I can afford. I did do the savings account option because it's required to have to collect the interest from the stocks and bonds programs. I have no clue when I'll be able to do those. I took a look at my current retirement account but I have another year to go before I pay off my current loan.
By then, I should know about the situation with my former job and retirement plan. At least I hope so. Of course, none of that helps me right now. I do great in the world of tomorrow but tomorrow never comes.
@Enthenia
Awwww, that's a good way of putting it. Just keep holding today, as steady as you can, and tomorrow will find a way to catch up. Keep holding steady. you're doing allright. 😊
@Enthenia
P.S. By the way, I'd be wary of pay up front schemes too. It's a pretty smart instinct.
But sometimes you can get good ideas from your research and then approach the technique a little bit on your own. Paying nobody for nuttin. Or if the pay up front fees are nominal, very little And they make sense because they have a reason, that's something to consider too.
But most of the time it's just a lot of hype to get you psyched up, pay the money and then when the reality of the work comes into place there is no pot of gold or reward and they walk away with your money. That's their pot of money and reward.
So that's very good that you're smart/skeptical about that. Good job!
@IsayUncle well for things like investing, it makes sense that there needs to be some money up front. I looked at the synopsis of the reviews for the mobile app I kept seeing ads for. What it doesn't mention is that it's a subscription service. So technically all you need is $20 for the investment but how much are the subscription fees? The one I installed gives explanations on whys and wherefores of the fees. For investing, the initial cost isn't that bad. Having something professionally managed costs more. But as I said, right now, it's not a viable option for me.
Thank you for what you give ❤️
